Cheers guys, glad you all enjoyed.

I apolagise for the lousy formating, hard to read when you can't tell whe one section ends and the next begins...

Initially when I first posted, I wanted to break down the sections by using Bold for section titles, and Underline for each point in each section...but Geekzone's TinyMCE editor uses SPAN instead...so I could not initially get Underline to work to break up the sections for easier reading...

I asked MF about this, he explaind that to me, and recommened I use Windows Live Writer, which I have now downloaded and just ested out for editing that very post...and vola, it is now broken up for easier reading using Underline.

Yay.

Yep I agree. First class review and very interesting comparing how I feel about my fantastic little toy to how others feel. Well done.

kitretter:
GEONXT: Mod colour notification light. I have a green light for emails now and purple for sms white for calls.
Mod boot screen removed Nokia hands and added custom Maemo splash screen.
Mod power button to add more function have added a reboot button option so i dont have to shutdown and start again.

This has lead me to realize that if you have the understanding of how to mod you will truly get 100% satisfaction from this unit.

Any chance you could post up how to do these mods?

All credit to this post, you will find a few in this will post the boot screen when i find the thread

Great review their Euan,

I no this is not a bigger for most of you guys and girls out there but is there a PROGRAM that will upload pictures and video's directly to PC i had to email them to myself to get them. just a pain as it has been crashing from time to timeaswell. As we know that PC suite and OVi suite is not fully compatible as yet.

Um....ya know a program is not required to get your media off the N900 onto you PC yeah?

If you connect the N900 to your PC using USB, ya get a choice of either Mass Stolrage Mode or PC Suite Mode...
Just select Mass Storage Mode and the Nokia N900 will show up on your PC within Windows Explorer just like a hard drive...
Then go to the folder where ya desired files are, and copy and paste what you want.

Also, Nokia PC Suite does work with the N900, just not all functions...
I use PC Suite to tether my N900 to my PC to use Mobile Broadband on my HTPC.

I agree, it is done.
I will tidy it up and hyperlink it once I get on my HTPC...still have yet to figure out this mouse/gestures to be able to select a word and hyperlink it on my N900...frustrating.

So what colour did you change did you add reboot? seems pretty complex to read but once you get in there its reall easy. the boot screen link
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=32935

If any one finds any other mods pls post looking for the one to change the name at top from voda to whatever i like.

Also Euan I find using the large up arrow at the bottom left easy with the on screen mouse for copy or highlite it often does not always show the text as highlited but does anyway works for me. does everyone also know double tap ctrl for uper case and double tap function key for numeric locks so you dont have to hold down.

Yeah, I knew those, and know a couple others too...
I will add a tips/shortcuts section to the first post, and list them all as we post them.
I have also seen the instructions for modding your netqwrok provider name...I will add a link to that too.
