I suspect that's a desired feature.. not such a useful box if it doesn't power up at all?

How about some more info, like how old, what exactly do  you mean "keeps powering up", what have you tried to fix the problem?

disconnect the power for minimum 10 hours then connect again.  But if like my 2 might only work for a couple of days before doing the same again.  But thats the first thing the help desk tell you to do

It is supposed to be brand new, as in we have had it for a week. It is a replacement, had the same problem with that after we had had it for 10 months. Mind you it took Telegisitics 5 weeks to replace it. We can't get it far enough to get to a menu to even try and run a diagnotic on it. We get the Powering Up, then if we are lucky we get the Almost there, just afew minutes more but that is about as far as it goes before it is back to Powering Up

We have unplugged for several hours or overnight and it still does the same. My husband has just plugged it back in while I have been doing this and Bingo we have TV but for how long. It has been unplugged since Monday

A couple of mine had this problem when I first got them, as they were basically DOA. The only solution really is to go through their troubleshooting process and get a replacement from them. I also had to wait 3 weeks to get one replaced, the other was swapped instore, but they no longer sell them in retail stores.

I can only reiterate the call the 0800 number.

Occasionally the stars align in a bad way and you get a DOA as a replacement.

Unfortunately, in NZ I can only help with account/software issues usually. Telecom are the go to for hardware.

Follow everyone's advice and call the 0800.

I'm still puzzled by the title ... Hmm ... A bit like "my car is making noise" or " my phone is ringing"

Yes, the OP didn't put much effort in providing information to get a better answer. So the standard "call the 0800 nunber" is still the best advice.

Oops sorry I didn't actually mean to just post that. Am a newby at this forum stuff. hit enter before I realised i needed to scroll down and put an explanation.

Have called telecom and was told that as i am no longer a telecom customer they couldnt help. I will try again. The Tivo is off powering up again after working for almost an hour and a half.

Telegistics have said I need to return this then they will send me a replacement, I am at the point where I want a replacement or refund immediately, not in 5 weeks. Might threaten Fair Go or something.
