Took those two shots last weekend at Mangere Mountain. I thought they turned out quite nice.

From a working trip last week, I took 1000 photos, 990 of which are basically the side of a building, or an oil stain on tarmac, to be made into textures for flight simulator airport models... one day I'd love to do a trip and have time to just look at the scenery! Here's some of the 10 non-'technical' shots:

This was more of a joke, a typical 'Real NZ' scene, the last rays of the day on a lakeside church, with 4 coachfuls of tourists waiting their turn for a photo...

Hey folks, I always like looking at these photos - you are a great creative bunch, well done!
Because of this I am giving a heads up here in this thread first before posting the Geekzone sub-forum...
Many of you may have noticed that we have now moved Geekzone to a full HTTPS site. No need to explain (to most, I presume) this means enhanced privacy for you when posting and a bit more security (as in sessions shouldn't be hijacked if on an unsecure network, employers can't see what you're posting, etc).
The default policy we are enforcing now is for no mixed content. This means if a page has any element that is not served over HTTPS then that content will not appear. This also include photos you post, screenshots hosted on other non-HTTPS servers, Speedtest results, etc.
To make sure we keep everything as it should I have scrubbed our database and replaced http:// image links with https:// where possible - things like imgur, flickr, speedtest, etc. Some of those domains are also listed in the HTTPS Everywhere project so our CDN Cloudflare will automatically replace anything I missed. But just in case you see something that is not right, please report the post and I will check if we can do something.
Even better, if you are not using a HTTPS service, just upload to Geekzone.
Thank you all!

Hi everyone. Love the photos posted in here. There are some talent photographers in here for sure.
As a newbie to photography, would it be possible for people to post what settings they used when taking the photos? I think this would be invaluable for learners to get an idea of what settings work best for certain situations.
Thanks.

@maoriboy for images posted here that link back to Flickr, if you click on the image Flickr lists the camera used and full exif data if the original image included the info.
People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Not a great photographer like you folks, but Wellington was pretty grey today:

Forgot I had this one, took it from a friends boat as we were leaving the marina back at the start of the year. Was taken on my Lumia 640XL and tweaked slightly in Google Picasa.

Great shot, well done.
