.Any feedback on these two:

I bought a Bosch (series 6) perhaps ~6 months ago - replaced a very very old F&P double dish-drawer. Short story, it's pretty quiet and washes brilliantly, however, the cycles are quite long ~3h for a full load on auto.

I do wish that it dried dishes slightly better, the underside of mugs tend to pool with water, glasses somehow seem less affected. If you unpack the dishes within an hour or two of the cycle finishing most items are perfectly dry and still very hot, but if you leave it for hours condensation builds up and the dishes need drying again with a towel. The F&P had a fan to assist with drying and that setup worked better.

I'd buy it again if I had to choose - just wish it had the thermal drying of the ~$2000 model.

I think some dishwashers open the door slightly at the end of the cycle which I guess is for condensation.

Just did some googling, apparently 'condensation drying' is a genuine 'feature' of the Bosch series 6 - Their marketing team went into overdrive there signing the virtues of more efficient drying - at the cost of not actually drying anything that doesn't hold residual heat.

The Bosch we have (top of the line a few years ago) are about 1/3 the volume of the fairly modern Haier in the place we stayed at recently.

Hi Brought a Bosch series 6 dishwasher, 6-8 months ago. Previously had an old F&P.

There was a cheaper series (probably series 5?), which was significantly lower quality - I think made in India rather than Germany, and lots of plastic components.

The Build quality is good. Way quieter than the F&P.

I leave it on Auto, which starts saying it will be 3 hours, but it seems to assess the cleanness of water coming off, then brings it down to around 1 hour 20 minutes. we rinse before hand.

Does not seem to dry as well as the F&P, not sure why. It doesnt have an exposed heating coil like the F&P did. Only really notice it on the plastics though.

I cant recall exact pricing, I think I paid around $1200. I think they were around $1500 and I found one on the internet at an outlet store with a damaged box. Went to Noel Leeming and asked if they would match the price, which they did.

Had a Westinghouse when we built our old house 3 years ago and loved it, so quiet. We will be getting rid of the Fisher & Paykel one that is in our new house and replace it with a Westinghouse later this year.

I know op has bought a Bosch, but just thought Id share our experience this week with our Bosch dishwasher for future reference

Long story short we had a pump failure on our 6 year old machine. Serviceman reckoned we'd be better off buying a new dishwasher as it wouldn't be cheap. He was correct, quote came in at $615 as machine would have to be repaired at his depot and we live 20km out of town

We decided not to repair as for a few hundred more we could get a new machine. Went in to service depot to ask how much we owed for what they had done so far. Lady looked up bill and said have you rung Bosch about this as its quite unusual for a pump to fail after only 6 years on a Bosch.

So took her advice and rung up and explained the situation, they said its a bit disappointing for a pump to fail after only 6 years, send us your pop and service report and he'd past it on to the technical department for them to look at. Within 24hrs Bosch had rung our service agent to say they would be suppling pump free of charge. So bill came down to $280, which we can live with.

Now that's standing behind your product!

That's a great result. I wish mine experience had been that easy. 18 months of fighting tooth and nail to get my unit repaired and then replaced. I'd never buy Bosch and especially not from Kitchen Things, again. Ever.

We have an integrated Bosch that we brought back from Ireland. It is quiet, seems big (compared to previous/others). Has a sensor for leaks which is interesting but guess is a european thing (apartments). The tops of cups also come out quite dry.

It is slow though, so normally do a 3 hour delay and set at bedtime - on Flick.

We bought a Bosch for our last home and couldn't be happier.

When we sold our house (and this is true) I thought I am going to miss that dishwasher. The gods must have been looking down on me as our new house had exactly the same Bosch dishwasher (which has performed equally as well).

The next dishwasher I will buy will be a Bosch. I won't even bother looking at other brands.

ps. We also use a recent F&P model which is absolute rubbish, don't go near.

Super Happy with my WIFE model.

Washes and dries perfectly every time.

It even puts the items away!
