I actually lost my AEG drill receipt before registering, so had to go to bunnings to get a replacement to register the warranty. It wasn't easy at all. The lady at the service desk wasn't convinced she'd be able to find it on their system (so many receipts to process!), but I was able to give her enough information for her to pull it like a needle from a haystack. Not sure the serial number is tracked though. AEG don't even track the serial number when registering the warranty! But I think you can manually add serials to your account afterwards if desired, or leave them off the warranty completely. Seemed like an odd choice to me.... you'd have thought the whole point of registering the warranty for AEG was to tie the serials to a real person, but they just take model number!

The point of registering the warranty is to provide marketing information to the importer.  Yes it makes the warranty claim process easier but when you are a consumer you've got the CGA which typically exceeds any warranty.

Been using a Ozito drill around the house. I only use it maybe once a month for odd jobs.

It's OK, basically you get what you pay for.

Only problem I have with it is the chuck can only be tightened by hand, and sometimes when drilling into hard wood the drill bit gets stuck in the wood and slips in the chuck. It can be a pain it get it out again.

If I had to buy another drill I would get something more expensive.

Most importantly, they have caps, tee-shirts, and bumper stickers with this:

I have a few milwaukee shirts - one of them has that slogan on it.
