So i totally got inspired by this thread with this project, it ended up taking me a lot longer than i thought, but hope you feel similarly inspired!

Very cool, looks good.

What made you go for those pavers? I need to do something similar and was looking at Gobi blocks. But at 25 of them per square metre concrete is cheaper.

The bricks I got them for free, so that was part of it. I would have liked gobi too, but too expensive. If not bricks, would have been gravel.

Seemed to be fine - I kept on stopping and digging out more when it couldn't do it - I feel like just tugging at it while nothing happened would have been a good way to cook it!

The clutch will let you know you are doing something dastardly through burning smells or smoke, from experience...

I actually first read that comment as "melee attacks + 5" - thought you must have equipped some magic gauntlets or something.
