Its unusual for Disney owned Live Action feature films to go below $9.99. But while I was browsing the store, I found this unheralded deal.

INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY (2023, Action/Adventure, 124 mins. M) • ❇️iTunes Extras • Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos/Dolby Digital Plus 7.1/Dolby Digital 5.1 [Buy - $7.99] 

Currently in NZ cinema's; Paramount's MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: The Final Reckoning is up for Preorder in the Apple Store, with a buy price of $24.99.

Considering that the film will most likely have Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos included, plus iTunes Extras for those who are interested in the production footage, I find the price to be very acceptable for a new blockbuster release. Give it a few weeks, and it will drop to $14.99 for a limited time.

The new titles with prices of $34.99 or $29.99 are unacceptable. I think $24.99 is a fair price for a new release blockbuster. $19.99 for lesser releases.

Expected on May 29th is Screen Gems Horror flick UNTIL DAWN. Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. Preorder $24.99.

The Apple Store Top Movies chart is littered with Final Destination films at the moment. From the original 2000 film to the last film in the franchise Final Destination 5 (2011). 

14 years later, we are getting the next installment; Final Destination: Bloodlines (what happened to naming it Final Destination 6 😁), and its apparently full of splattery fun.

Reviews are good, and its another film for horror fans to look forward to. Preorder $34.99

Jurassic Park (1993) was, and still is one of my favourite films of all time.. I also enjoyed the sequels, but to a much lesser extent. The original was, in my opinion, perfect!

Good news! with the announcement of the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, Universal also announced a physical media SteelBook release of all six of the previous films. This included the upgrading of the original Jurassic Park Trilogy to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. Up to now the films were available in 4K HDR10+/Dolby Digital 5.1 in the Apple Store, but the transfers were not as good as most people had hoped. Jurassic Park III has already upgraded to DV/DA, and Jurassic Park has also got the Atmos upgrade, but not yet Dolby Vision. Jurassic Park: The Lost World hasn't received an upgrade yet, but we can hopefully expect all three films to be DV/DA in the near future.

that's great news. Jurassic Park also one of my favourites, maybe top 10. Still remember going to watch it back in summer of '93.

When a faithful police dog and his human police officer owner are injured together on the job, a harebrained but life-saving surgery fuses the two of them together and Dog Man is born.

Well, SINNERS (2025) has a release date of April 17th in the Apple Store 😁 So, maybe, it should read June 17th. US release is June 3rd. Preorder $34.99

I'm not a fan of Vampire films, or horror films in general, but I will make an exception for this one. On the back of excellent reviews and box-office success. 

The latest iteration of the erotic film; EMMANUELLE (2024) is expected to release on June 3rd. Preorder $19.99

Jurassic Park (1993) has upgraded to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. Just waiting for The Lost World now. Hoping that Jurassic World will also upgrade from its present 4K HDR10+/Dolby Digital and we finish up with all six films in the best quality.

Digital film collector's in Australia/NZ are jumping on the Mission Impossible bandwagon. Presently at #2 in the Apple Store/iTunes charts is the 6-Movie Collection, which is still at an exceptionally good price of $19.99. At #5 is Dead Reckoning. #7 is The Final Reckoning Preorder, which shows that people will pay a fair price for a new release. #33 is Mission Impossible, with the rest of the franchise scattered around the top 70.

The Final Reckoning broke all previous records for the franchise, with a worldwide box-office opening weekend of over US$200 Million, but it needs to earn a lot more to turn a profit, as the reported production cost was an eye watering US$400 Million.

Amazingly, the film still only got second place to Disney's Lilo & Stitch Live Action remake which took over US$361 Million worldwide. 😮
