In fact, the Disney+ app is available now on compatible LG TVs in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. LG customers in Australia and New Zealand will receive the service next week with other markets to follow.

Probably just some poor word choice there, given the first half of the sentence refers to 'app' whereas the second half uses 'service'; but I too read this as stating the app won't be available here until next week.

Is it just me, or is it odd that they're not allowing people to sign up before the launch? Spark Sport took my credit card details months before the RWC.

I've cancelled Amazon Prime today, in anticipation of Disney+ launch. I'll most likely only re-sub to Prime temporarily to binge interesting series.

I installed Disney + on my Fire TV last nite but haven't got around to the free trial yet. Be interesting if I can sign up using my YouShop address and Amazon gift card billing.

I signed up with my US paypal account with the ASB visa on it, portland address so no sales tax. It put $1 US thru for the trial on the card.

Something happened when I tried logging in on the xbox (no VPN since the phone was playing stuff without one) - it made my account need verificaiton, and send a 6 digit code to my email, I had to enter that in the xbox app, and since then nothing has worked at all. Phone now says service unavailable at my location - VPN or no VPN, and the xbox app only shows me cars, alladin, and some other thing. They play fine. I now cant log in from the website either on the phone or on the computer.

Tried to reactivate my dns service since it lists disney and that doesnt seem to help with the logging in.

Lost interest for tonight, but if its working for you dont mess about with the xbox app.

I signed up for trial yesterday on my phone, DNS4me set to US. All worked ok at work.

Got home, tried appleTV, wouldn't connect. Phone wouldnt connect either.

Tried today again on phone, it worked.

Weird issue, no email from Disney about updating / verifying trial etc.

Given the exchange rate, I cancelled the trial and will just wait until 19th.

I got the same issue on Apple TV last night having been on the Netherlands trial for the last few weeks -- that was the first outage I've seen and no doubt due to server load.

Cancelled our Netflix sub this morning in anticipation for Disney+. In the survey you get when you cancel selected it was too expensive and that we were switching to another service. Wonder how many subs they'll lose this week.

I noticed last night I could watch on the iPad without using a dns service which was great , I logged in using my Netherlands password. Guess it’s close to nz launch so not worried about blocking yet

I’ve cancelled Netflix before don’t remember them asking reason for leaving. Edit: They may have, just don’t remember. :end edit.

i will cancel again as I’ll rotate services.

At the current $10 Disney will be permanent unless start getting bored with it. Probably go with $100 for year if offered.
