ResponseMediaNZ:

LG TV App is not up yet though :(  Hopefully they push that soon

Yeah me too, Abit disappointing that it wasn't pushed out on launch at same time...I mean I signed up minute I woke up this morning but now I can't sit down with some breakfast and start binge watching the crap out of it on the comfort of a couch lol

So far, my only real issue is with the interface - there doesn’t seem to be a “continue watching” or similar option/list to keep track of partially watched titles. Even when you select a partially watched title, there’s isn’t even an indication of it being in progress, such as a “resume from position —/— or play from start” until you press play, and then it goes roughly to a last watched marker point.

I've found the apps decent but basic. I've got Apple TV, Android TV and LG. What is nice is the interface for all of them is exactly the same.

Is the LG App live now?

Sounds like a bit of a pain. I'm at work so only watched the opening scene of the first episode of The Mandalorian. Looking forward to having a very quick play when I get home, before I go off beer bottling :-)

Only if you change your tv region. I live in Dubai so I'm using a US account / apps.

There was a “continue watching” section during the Netherlands trial but it was removed at launch - unsure why. There are reports of “Resume” / “Restart” buttons being added to the UI instead of just the existing “Play” button but it seems to be rolling out slowly rather than all at once. Disney are usually fairly responsive to user feedback so I expect the shortfalls in UX/UI will be addressed pretty quickly.

Is it correct for the URL in NZ to be disneyplus.com/en-gb/ ? What regions catalogue is that?

I swear when I looked at the countdown site a week ago or so, it was /en-nz, but it now redirects to /en-gb for me.

My wifi does have a DNS service applied, but I checked on my phone using mobile data and the work wifi and they both redirect to /en-gb too.

Great Britain/United Kingdom I assume? Not sure why it’s coming up though, possibly just a server or coding gremlin...

I've downloaded the Apple app on my phone, but didn't see anything on my Samsung TV's apps yet. I'm a little unclear on the Samsung apps - understand it only works on more recent models. I can't remember when we got the Smart TV but it was probably around 2 years ago. It's a UA43M5500ASX NZ - anyone else know anything about the availability on the Samsung Smart TVs situation? Cheers

It seems their redirects are cached, I had to clear cache and cookies after going to the site without a VPN to get the US one to show again, otherwise it was redirecting to the countdown even over the VPN.

Had a look at our MCU section its basically complete minus 4 films.

Here's what we have.

Avengers Endgame

Captain Marvel

Avengers Infinity War

Iron Man 3

Guardians of the Galaxy

The Avengers

Black Panther

Captain America: Winter Soldier

Thor The Dark World

Captain America Civil War

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

Thor

Ant-Man & The Wasp

Doctor Strange

Captain America The First Avenger

Iron Man 2

Ant-Man

Iron Man

We're missing Ragnarok, Homecoming, Far From Home and the Incredible Hulk. Ragnarok I assume will be coming in the next couple of months once it finishes up at Neon, and the spider-man movies are tied up at Sony and Hulk is at Universal.  Hopefully Disney can make a deal for the latter.

Star Wars is also mostly complete we're just missing The Last Jedi which I think also might still be tied up at Neon.
