Silva123: Hey, new to this Forum, and looking for some advice...
So my question is... I currently own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and that does have access to the App which i've downloaded and it runs smoothly. Is there any way you can connect a tablet directly to a Samsung T.V? or even wireless? Obviously Samsung Tablets do not have an HDMI connection, which rules out that option.

Good to see a indepth discussion on the EPL rights/PLP here...
Was a PLP Season subscriber last year, but only had a pretty outdated laptop, which wasn't the best viewing experience. Videos were choppy, and it struggled when viewed in full screen mode.
Now I'm reading about the Samsung partnership for the 2014 season... and I knew it would be too good to be true. Turns out my 2012 Smart T.V will not have direct access to the PLP App ( Just my Luck) And according to the bloke on 'PLP Pass' live chat' there is no plans to change this.

I just can't comprehend watching a full season on a 7inch tablet display.... :)
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated..

Sean
Come on City!!!!!
Obviously more expensive, but being able to plug it into any hdmi port and send data to it from laptop (win/ios/linux) appealed enough.
All this drama about non delivered apps reinforces to me why the smart tv is a wrort vrs dumb tv and HTPC.

I can't believe that they do not have the app for the Samsung 2012 TVs. They specifically stated that it was coming for the 2012+ range of TVs when they initially released their PR statements about the app. Very disappointing if that is true.

I just found that I can side load the Android PLP application onto my Amazon Fire TV box. the remote doesn't work 100% but with the aid of a wireless mouse I'm in business!
DaveB: At least you can watch BBC Match of the Day highlights live through the Samsung TV Browser - straight after Mrs Browns Boys. Makes for a great morning in bed!
ckc: I signed up this week. A full season subscription. Wasn't sure about the status of getting third party apps developed, but I didn't know they'd signed up Samsung as an exclusive smart TV partner - doesn't say it anywhere onsite. So I went on Twitter and asked about them for Panasonic TVs. Got told that "unfortunately @samsung are the only company willing to develop an app so far...". Okay, fair enough, so I looked into it over the past few days. I was under the impression that one could be developed for either the Panasonic TV or for something like XBMC, and away we go...
Then tonight I find out that they've signed up Samsung as an exclusive. They don't say it anywhere on the site. Of course, they mention Samsung, but nothing about no other apps will be available. So obviously their API is exclusive to Samsung and the mobile apps.
Kind of annoyed, I call them out on lying to me about other companies' willingness to develop an app and ask for a refund. Because basically, they lied to me. Sure, there's due diligence, but if you have to go hunting around the internet for 4 month old press releases from Samsung to find out it's an exclusive partnership, that kind of defeats the legal requirement that they're supposed to be giving you all the information up front.
I got told that "Sorry, but we do not offer refunds for change of mind. We have been very open about the fact that the app would only be available for Samsung TVs this year and you were more than welcome to check compatibility prior to purchasing the pass."
Of course, this isn't on the site and it's not in the T&Cs. There are no warnings that compatibility is limited because they've restricted it.
So they're not going to refund me. They're making me go to the Disputes Tribunal instead to get my money back.
Of course, the irony is that I could have got a week's trial for free using their current promo code, found this out and spent nothing. Instead I spent $150 in good faith and they're going to keep it because they don't think they did anything wrong.
It also guarantees I'll never be a customer again. Ever. I'm a huge footy fan. I'm even writing my PhD thesis on the Premier League. I write about exploitation and the rest of it (while knowing I'm exploited by people like Coliseum). But I would rather watch stuttering illegal streams for the rest of my natural than support this shoddy venture. I get the feeling they must be getting fairly desperate to recoup their investment, because when you cancel most entertainment services, you get your money back, even pro-rata. But not with these clowns.
If I wasn't $150 out and having to file with the court, it'd be hilarious.
