anyone can share 1.3.1 apk for sideloading on android tv plz

apk on page 99 by shindig of this thread i installed on my android tv back in july and this morning checked it and it has updated automatically to version 1.3.1.

the 1.3.1 is more of a "service" version than the app version

if you sideloaded it, its not really auto updating and you will still have 1.1.0

the actual version of the latest android tv apk is 1.2.1 dated Aug 28 - you can see it here  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.co.sparksport.androidtv&hl=en

you can download the .apks here

Is the 1.2.1 version from a sony extract or vu x?  I wonder if the vu x has the better apk due to its full 60 fps support?

theres only 1 android tv apk on google play for all "compatible devices" that spark decided to enable, it wont be any different apk wise.

the 1.2.1 apk is useless on all shield devices i have tested it on the quality never bumps up from 360/480p so its up to you if you want to try it on whatever you are using it on

1.1.0 and 1.2.0 are both working correctly on the shields. up to you you can try the latest, worse case you have to uninstall and reinstall the older ones and resign back in

I am not sure what kind of magic they are using for this. Worked on my FireTV and Shield TV and my FireTV doesn't have google play.

Probably the same as Netflix.

Develop a raw app, capable of the basics and has the core requirements/drm ability.

Load and display the web page/remainder of components within it on demand.

Netflix works in that way on my old panny st50. Loads old logo etc, changes to the new one as the rest of the online components load.

Would explain the version change without interaction. Those components may do HW checks/limited to OS data reported (and allow for wider compatibility)

Can we move shield chat to a new thread? Seems to be enough posts for it.

If anyone wants a cheap way to smarten up their not-so-smart TV I have a MiBox which works fine watching Spark Sport on Kodi.

PM me if interested.

(Reason for selling - I bought a couple of FireTV sticks on Prime day for US$35 each)

Watching jpn vs sa at the moment, and I'm satisfied with the quality. Room to improve, but it's not disappointment for sure.
