Handsomedan: I'm getting plenty of stutter when airplaying.
Not as much watching on my iMac but still not smooth.

Normally, my experience is reasonably solid using Airplay. For the first time this weekend, I noticed a subtle 'pulsing' in the feed quality, when using PLP from my iPhone, via Apple TV to the 55" Samsung L:ED. This was not replicated when viewing on my computer screen. Only difference is that I am now on VDSL...

Odd......

Hey guys

Just wondering if you can tell me how has the quality of the streaming improved? I was thinking of purchasing a sub for this season.

I have a samsung tv so I would also be looking at downloading its app on the tv.

It was still completely hit and miss for me last season. Especially at the end of the season I had three games I had to stop watching because I felt physically sick. I tried the Samsung app and the start of the season but didn't find it improved anything so stuck with the HTPC using IE.

I'm pretty sure it did. I never watched live games though (if that would make any difference?)

Anyone signed up yet? I'm still waiting for an early bird discount.

I am also waiting for a promo to come on before I get it. I thought they would have definitely improved the streaming capabilities but a lot.

How were the copa america matches for people? I assume they were really good cz not many people would have been watching those.

No the streaming quality is no better than when it started. Picture is very fuzzy and barely SD. When the play is fast it tends to Stutter and become pixilated. The none live versions have been taking longer and longer to reformat so now it will take up To 4 Hours post the end of the live before you can replay. Having said that I will Take out yet another years subscription I want to watch the football.

The end of the season proved to be worse than the start for me...while the picture quality was often very good during more static moments, I still had the issue of skipping a couple of seconds when the game was in flight (sometimes resulting in missing a goal) and also sudden degradation of picture quality - often when it was fast-paced.

I haven't watched more than a couple of odd halves of live football - always a match that was played in the night, but that didn;t seem to make any difference.

Sky Go and Netflix and others seem to work fine, so it can't be my local environment.

Hmm, thats a real shame - I really feel the internet capacity is letting down these services in NZ so Internet TV will not really rocket up (as it has in USA) until the Internet capacity issue is resolved.

Anyways - I am definitely thinking of getting the subs for this year - if anyone knows of any decent deals coming around, please let me know.

Despite the quality issues and flaky service, I too will be resubscribing as I cannot get through a season without a half-decent ability to watch it.

I am also waiting for the earlybird specials...we shall see.

Doesn't sound like there will be a discount this season. Instead of the early bird discount, free Copa America was this year's deal. I'll be getting it because I need to follow my team but am still not completely happy with it. As they have confirmed no playstation app for this season my main issue is that for 3 seasons, despite having a smart TV, PS4, PS3, tablet and smartphone, there is still no app available to me and my only option is still to connect my laptop to TV. Unfortunately I have got all the wrong brands. If only I had known when I bought my TV in 2012 that I would need a certain brand to watch EPL properly. The stream is pretty good on the laptop but I want to watch it on my TV and it still gets a bit jerky doing it that way.

It will be interesting to see what happens after this season when the rights go up for bidding again. Also, since ESPN Australia has lost the Champions League to beIN Sports, and we get the ESPN Australia feed it's still unclear whether we will get CL coverage this coming season. Would expect Coliseum to be looking at it if the rights are up for grabs.

I coincidentally have a Samsung smart tv - hand me down from my sister. So got a bit lucky there as I usually would lean to Sony/Panasonic for TVs.

Wow thats a shame that CL is going away from ESPN. I would have certainly thought that Sky would do something like get Bundesliga or Italian league and started showing those more regularly. But they are hell bent on losing their sports enthusiasts.

I really hope CL will NOT be coming to this streaming service if the service is going to be like EPL. Also, any other discounts/vouchers that people are aware of to get PLP?

I would be really keen at 150 for the package - 200 is a bit excessive considering only Samsung TVs and no apps for PS4 are available.
