The rebooted Resident Evil franchise had an excellent global opening weekend of US$108.3M. This is the best start that the franchise has ever seen and is also director Zach Cregger's best opening; beating last year's Weapons. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is, so far, the most successful film in the franchise with a total global gross of US$312M. The film is already available to pre-order from the Apple TV Store [$29.99].

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now officially the highest grossing US domestic release of all time and is still pushing to become the first film to hit the US domestic billion dollar mark.

The Odyssey has become Universal's highest grossing film of all time, surpassing Jurassic World with a current global take of US$1.72B.
