Liverpool TV
Finally, Spark has secured the media rights for Liverpool FC TV, a 24/7 channel of content from the famous Premier League club, Liverpool FC. The channel features live coverage and highlights of U23 & U18 games, full replays of every first team match in every competition including Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, as well as exclusive manager and player interviews, live pre and post-match coverage and exclusive features and documentaries, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Oh thats awesome Sauce, Im going to have to join just for this. The greatest club in English history. More titles/cups than Man U and prior to the EPL and Man Utd BUYING a club, far way and ahead the most successful back then too.
I grew up playing rugby league but mum had me play football from 4-7yo as she wanted me to get some ball skills first and be a little bigger. Being of the Era that Liverpool were the current Man Utd of the world, I have always tried to watch anything related I could. My favourite bear until Lion ruined it, like it does with all brewed under license beers that not taste like Lion red was Carlsberg. I think its the best mainstream big batch brewery in the world. Strangely liked it before they sponsored LFC. I really thought back when Torres joined they would win again. But I realise now its a lot of costly buys and exhcanges like that, which crippled the club from finishing first. You look at Man Utd, they always bought great super stars but also promoted their best development squad, Beckham (although he came from somewhere else), Rooney etc. I admire them for that, which is why Im surprised because LFC had the best local players clearly in England for decades upon decades. I think they didnt buy the right fit for the club a lot of the time, its all about timing. LFC will win their first EPL this year. And be 2 total epl/euro league/cups etc behind Man Utd which is pretty much all from the last 3 decades of Pro EPL.
What will be the cost?

WRC starts Next weekend and still no service announcement from Spark. Arrgggh! What are they playing at.
This is the reply I got from them on FB ...
“... sorry for the delay in our answer here. We won’t be live for Jan 24th, so WRC races can be accessed by purchasing a online subscription directly from WRC+. Once Spark Sport goes live, races will also be available from Spark Sport, included in the price of the monthly subscription, which will also include access to all Formula 1 content. Hope this helps ☺️“
So looks like only Monte options are WRC+ and RedBullTV (though they seemed to cover less live stages than Duke, but believe their daily highlights will continue).
Yes, thanks for that, I got the same response on a twitter DM. Pity they don't want to indicate when they are starting, how long should I subscribe to WRC+? Not very good at building up a user base if they are all annoyed at you when you launch, or you have sent them all to alternate services. If they believed these sports are valuable why not do a deal with TVNZ (or 3) to provide coverage in the mean time. I am V annoyed that they have cornered exclusive rights in NZ and then not made them available in a timely fashion.
I might just have to go annual on WRC+ (and get F1TV Pro) and skip Spark Sport altogether!

Looked into F1 direct as well just in case we don't get any good news on Spark Sport before F1 kicks off.
Turns out we can't get F1 TV Pro and the option we can get is delayed races - delayed by 14 days!
Not exactly a great taster for online streaming services or season passes as an alternative to Sky.
WRC+ would be $120 a year on its own.
Yes for F1TV Pro you need a US account (or another supported country) and a VPN/DNS service (In Theory, I have not yet tried). Just tried to sign up to WRC+ (as stage 2 live now but their service is broken). Not streaming ss2 and the signup page is broken also. so we can't win.

Hi
Could I suggest you make F1 TV Pro available to New Zealand subscribers while the rights holder gets themselves organised? Otherwise we are going to miss out on the start of the season.

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting F1.
We have commercial agreements in place that restrict broadcasting in certain territories. We will expand the availability to other countries as time goes on, however there are no guarantees that your country will be included.
Please follow our content schedule for any changes https://f1tv.formula1.com/en/content-schedule.
Have a great day and please don't hesitate to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Hi Diana
I know that. But, as I’m sure you know, the people to whom you sold the rights in New Zealand don’t have a service capable of delivering your content to the public. I don’t know if the terms of your commercial agreement place any obligation on the rights holder to actually make the content available, but surely while the present situation exists you could make F1 TV Pro subscriptions available to your NZ fans. It’s no loss at all to the rights holder – it might even encourage them to get their act together.

Hello,
I understand your point of view and I am truly sorry for this inconvenience. Unfortunately, we don't have this kind of power. However, I'll make sure to pass on your request to the right department, as we already started to expand. Thank you for understanding and if there is anything else I can do for you please let me know.

Who said that? F1 has not started. On this or another thread it shows Sparks response to some sports that have or are about to start and how to watch them in the interim until Spark Sport is ready. F1 was not one of them. F1 starts in just under two months, 14 March

Optus told FIFA that they could broadcast the World Cup last year, and we all know how that turned out #justsaying

Whats that got to do with it? Optus's tech was the issue. Here the issue is IF Spark Sport will be online to air F1, the answer has been stated a few times that it will be. Two totally different topics
Panic Stations = stand down :-)

Sorry TD but we can't really take Spark at their word given the total vacuum of communication and the "oh well" approach to the WRC coverage. I think they were bloody lucky that Paddon wasn't lining up this year, or else it would have been a PR disaster.
They knew they would miss this deadline. They could have made an alternative arrangement or even offered it up for free through a browser as a teaser even if the app/platform proper wasn't ready yet. Instead a whole of people had to seek them out and actually ask the question. That's poor and I will struggle to believe they'll be ready for F1 even if they swear they will be.

Barcelona testing starts in three weeks and it's live on F1 TV Pro. Spark isn't going to provide it so I'm simply asking F1 if they can enable NZ subscriptions in the meantime. It can't be that hard, and I'm willing to pay.
