I've done a "beta" m3u , of the TV Plus NZ lineup.

Please note there are NO logos or EPG yet, also many of the urls are using the Australian ones, the Australia urls will get swapped over to the true NZ ones as I find them.

Not sure if all the channels are the same but was watching one of the “Now” music channels for a bit this morning and noticed the ads were all British, including for things like insurance companies with British 0800 numbers to dial. Surprised to see that.

Yes  produced in the UK and I think they are on the UK Freeview as well. A good replacement for the Breeze channel

Uhoh. This looks like Samsung tvs are potentially vtv all over

Now digging for a how it works to see in in standby keeps streaming data.?

There's still plans out there with caps, and going by a 'is my internet broken' query this morning that had 25Gb a few days ago still left until the 2nd and 3 Samsung smart tvs from last year.. it doesn't bode well.

Then again, the lack of Stream selection in Disney+ may have blown it with ObiWans release :p

Have discovered with the tv app if you use the down arrow while on a channel it lists any VOD titles.

The faq suggest it's going to get a central store eventually

What is vtv and why would it keep streaming data in standby when they are live linear channels with a schedule? No advantage to caching.

Vodafone TV

It's why you required uncapped connection and it drew complaints from those who didn't notice that

It was essentially streaming the last channel you left it on while it was in standby.

I've done some digging in this morning's cases and it seems to be that when casting to a Chromecast it completely ignores your disney app settings/preference and goes nuts.

I need to retest one of the Samsung is once it's released from prison it was a bit of an increase in the last couple of days

The App popped up last night in my Samsung TV App line up when pressing the Home button. Very welcome since FTA was getting a bit boring after dumping Sky and just wanting a lazy option to watch something without serious decision making.

So far I have only 29 channels and can’t see anything on demand yet. Still trying to figure how to move around in it without getting stuck on one channel. I can see in the guide it has the Samsung channels and the FTA ones above but only the Samsung channels have a description and can be played so I’m guessing there’s a way to integrate both. Will be interested to learn more.

I've noticed if you launch the guide while watching a Samsung channel the descriptions for the Freeview shows won't populate unless you switch to one of them. Probably not able to retrieve the data without doing that.

Also, use the regular channel + / - buttons to switch channels or press the down arrow to bring up other options including the guide.

Just realised why the guide doesn’t populate with my free to air, because TV streams over internet via VTV and the TV is not connected to Satellite or aerial. Will leave the VTV till it’s disconnected and replace with a Dish SmartVU.

Would have been nice to have all the channels integrated so if I’m correct the addition of an aerial will enable me to have both Samsung and Free to Air working in one guide?

It would appear so.
Per earlier, we have favourites set as default channel set, adjusted to normal broadcast with +1 at end, and removed some

In that mode I can use the advert to open the cine channel but the moment you use +/- it goes back to the broadcast favs.

I would need to open channel editor and add the online ones in to favs too. Or you can switch to the plus set only easily.

Mentioned down arrow earlier ;) (or my edit didn't save)
The Samsung page has some faq about VOD etc. Which is meant to be down arrow on the selected Chan. But not all have them
And a centric VOD page is planned.

There is a trick if you setup the tv on an Australian ip you can get the aussie channel lineup instead of the NZ one  70 channels vs 30. Once the vpn is turned off you can still access them.

I'm surprised just how many of the channels in both playlists have different streaming URLs. I fully expected NZ to simply be a duplicate of the AU service.

Glanced through all the channels on the guide and all there with description of what's on. Watched Now 80's which plays about 3 or 4 songs 10 to 15 minutes then there's about 4 or 5 minutes of UK advertising every time same on now 70's quality a bit rough a lot buffering and sometimes just stops with message we'll be back shortly.( my WIFI speed ok about180 Mbps never any problems Disney+, Sky Sports now and Netflix)
Also watched a bit of movie which was 1972 A Reason to Live, a Reason to Die then about  every 15 minutes would have a 2-3 minute preview of movie coming up which are all old movies. So for now its extra channels if I want to watch but not my favourite at this stage.
