Netflix model is not my favorite. I prefer buying instead of renting/subscribing because I like very specific content.

Yup- at the rate I buy them it's still cheaper than all I can eat data on my broadband ;)

presumably with the caveat that if the subscription service has the content you want, you would be ok with that?
