Juicytree:
Paramount Plus: Release Date, Shows, Movies, Pricing (businessinsider.com)
This is a US link so I suspect that Paramount Plus in NZ will be like Amazon Video in NZ. Limited selection..
Regards,
Old3eyes
to be honest it's a shame we don't get the full category list but it will be cheaper then all of the other streaming services so will probably sign up
If the Stargates are there I’ll sign up. Otherwise depends how limited.

Err, Stargate is an MGM (now Amazon) property, I doubt it would be on Paramount+... or if it is it won't stay there for long...

Yes . It's on Amazon Prime video US but "This video is currently unavailable
to watch in your location" for NZ Amazon so DNS access.

Cheers, I got round wrong way who brought MGM.
I have Prime, so fingers crossed. Paramount will depend on content range then.

Paramount+ will be here next month by the looks: Paramount plots NZ streaming launch | BusinessDesk
Most of the story is behind a Paywall but you get the general idea from the bit you can see.
Makes me wonder if their current content will remain on Sky
Wonder if it will have restricted content or will it be the same as the US version??
Sky extended their partnership with ViacomCBS (who owns Paramount Plus) a few months ago in a multi year deal. So the bulk of the content that Paramount would want to stream here is actually on Sky, Neon and Prime and the rights are tied up there for years. Australia is a bit of a different beast for Paramount Plus as Viacom already owns Channel Ten and presumably Ten held all the rights to Viacom products in preparation for launch.

You'd assume that Viacom knew that they were launching in NZ when they signed the deal with Sky so they might end up partnering somehow, considering they don't already have a base here like they do in Australia. Sky already bundles Sky Sport Now with some Spark packages so they're not against partnerships with competitors.
Paramount Plus in Australia are also going to be streaming sports. Their first big announcement in this respect is their acquisition of the A-League football rights which they've snatched away from longtime broadcaster Fox Sports.
The A-League rights are also currently up for grabs in New Zealand so it's possible they'll be acquired by Paramount plus for NZ too.

So people complained Sky was too expensive.... so now theyre paying more than Sky a month for even more stuff they wont watch ;)
Yeah mate, I'll switch to Sky to save money! :-)

You've gotten two Primes there.
Naaaa the 2nd one is just Megatron in disguise.
According to the comments on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ParamountPlusAustralia/
It says Paramount+ is only launching in Australia on August 11 and not New Zealand. Could anyone clear this up?

Also on the ViacomCBS AU & NZ website https://www.10viacomcbs.com.au/
In the media releases they say it is launching in Australia on August 11 with no mention of NZ.
