It was bad, so bad. Ridiculous one liners that never ended, story that went nowhere, main antagonist treated like a cheap date & Eternity wasn't much bigger that your average family van 💩

Yes I know I was waiting for it to come out then when I saw on Disney plus watched it and was very disappointed, no story and just a lot of visual effects and all Taiki jokes went flat. Glad I didn't go to watch in cinema and waste my money .

That would be me 😭
Bored from the beginning. Glad I had popcorn to distract me. But then I was also annoyed about how HOYTS at The Base doesn't show all of the prices for food and how expensive my combo was. Started off as a nice date idea from my partner, ended with me coming out like a grumpy, cheap old man 😄
I'm enjoying some of the Star Wars content on Disney+
I'm over Marvel. End Game felt like the end of the story for me. I've had no desire to venture back, yet. That could change
X-men died with Wolverine, for me. He was my favourite character. I've no interest in the franchise now.

I didn't hate it, like many did. I just didn't love it.
In fact I didn't like it nearly as much as I wanted to.

I find that Waititi's style of humour clashes with the (should be) epic tone of a superhero movie. It doesn't work for me at all and the movies he make just seem like spoofs of themselves.
I've really enjoyed his other work "We're werewolves, not swear wolves", but his efforts in the marvel franchise universe have been poor in my view.
Imagine if Peter Jackson had made LOTR with the same tone as Braindead.

I read the 4K UHD Disc review of Thor: Love and Thunder, on the UK's AV Forums.
Apart from a poor review of the film itself (6/10), it has become increasingly clear that Disney are all but done with physical media. The reviewer asked the question, why would you buy the disc version, when Disney+ offer the addition of IMAX? and a Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos experience. I know some of our members will state that physical media is still better than streaming, but without a side by side comparison, it will suffice for my old eyes and ears 😁
How long can we expect physical media to be around, given that streaming services are getting better and better quality wise? I was an avid disc buyer for many years, but no longer keep track of new releases except on Disney+ and iTunes.

According to Grace @ Beyond The Trailer there is aprox 4hrs of filmed/usable footage that was cut down for the Cinematic release. If an extended edition is eventually released Disney could really flesh out some of the story line & I'd give is a 2nd watch.
Trying to find enough time to watch Elton's Farewell USA Concert (2:54). I may have to watch it in two or three sessions.
Disappointed that its HD/Dolby Digital 5.1 and not 4K Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. Still, it should be a great concert, with several guest artists.
Just had a look at the beginning of the concert which kicks off with Benny & the Jets.

Since my first post, I have joined SKY Broadband from Vodafone. I got the 12 months free subscription included, and I have watched several programs on Disney+.
Although there has been a small price rise to $14.99 per month, or $149.99 per year (saving about $30), I think that I will renew my subscription when its due.
In comparison to Apple TV+ there are far more new films and series becoming available.

The problem with streaming services is licences for content can be revoked. And therefore you cannot stream it any more. With physical disks do not. Even better is a physical disk ripped - as bluray does have some sort of key management I believe, but I don't know if it's ever been used to invalidate a title.

Hoyts food prices are a National Outrage.
One thing Disney+ could improve is how long you have to wait for the "next episode" button. OnNetflix this pops up promptly when the title ends and the credits begin. It's much a longer wait in Disney+, especially in the Star Wars section. Even Neon has the next episode button readily available.
