Using Vodafone Cable 50 and unable to access Netflix in any region.  Using UnoTelly DNS via an Apple TV and working fine until a few days ago.

Vodafone's response thus far has been very disappointing.  From the VF forums their stance is "we didn't change anything so we're not going to help".  A weak response to an issue that is affecting a growing number of customers.  Invariable integration issues require the collaboration of multiple parties to resolve; even you Vodafone!

Dlownz: nope still not working
does anyone have the link for setting up global mode on the  modem so I can make sure everything is what it should be.

Global Mode and caching are turned on and off at the Slingshot page. Open www.slingshot.co.nz, click on the grey box top right and login with your Slingshot user name and password, click on My Internet, you will find Internet Cache settings and Global Mode settings are bottom right of this box. Open each one respectively and change to suit. Global Mode= On, Internet Cache settings= off

I wonder how long it will be before VF customers get sick of VF's stalling and inertia and take their $$$ elsewhere.

As a person on Telecom (although I never suffered the outage) and seeing how quickly Telecom resolved the problem, it's fascinating waiting to see what Vodafone will do, if anything at all.  I've never been loyal to an ISP but Telecom will definitely keep my custom based on what's happened so far.

In my case, not very long at all, not with Telecom fixing it in a matter of hours and Vodafone choosing to remain silent on the matter.

Like allikat, I gave it a quick test on the Apple TV (telecom Adsl) and first attempt played a video. I'll have zm bit more of a play. Thanks to unotelly, getflix, unblock us and the ISPs that have contributed to fixing this.

I took the opportunity of this "outage" to set up a DD-WRT router and Astrill VPN over the weekend and have been pleasantly surprised with how smooth and reliable the performance is. I've been quite lazy about it before but I'll continue using VPN for a while as for whatever reason I seem to be getting much better quality video (I know it doesn't make any sense why).

I have to say I am a very disappointed Vodafone customer at this stage, especially considering how quickly the problem was resolved by Telecom. It appears that Vodafone could fix the problem but are choosing not to.
They may be somewhat compromised commercially due to their relationship with Sky TV but this really is about fixing an issue.

The more I think about it the more annoyed I get. I think this will be the deal breaker and my $$ will be heading elsewhere soon.

For the record, Vodafone ADSL 2 - cant get VDSL or UFB in my area :-(, using Unblock US, accessing (UK) Netflix on Windows HTPC, Roku and Android.

I think I will be moving on from Vodafone too after many years. Im looking for an ISP that will provide the best experience the internet has to offer, if Vodafone cant provide that Ill look for an ISP that can. I am very disappointed in Vodafone I've been pretty happy up til now but funny how things change very different from the Clear.net/Paradise.net days.

Just want to say thanks to the DNS service providers and ISPs that have helped identify the issue and resolve it.

I have Vodafone cable and now Netflix UK isn't working either (after being fine all weekend). Perhaps Netflix have rolled out their US/CA changes to other zones?

Even though our connection is working again (be it by luck or not) after reading the posts made by Tim/John on the Vodafone forums and then Vodafone editing the posts I think I'll start looking for another ISP.

The response from Telecom and Bigpipe on here was amazing and puts Telecom in a different light.

I've been with Vodafone for 3 or 4 years now, a shame I have another 4 months left of my current contract. I'm not sure legally I can get out of the contract with them. So will have to wait as the disconnection fee is too much for me to pay at the moment.

Bigpipe looks like the answer to me.

I used to think Telecom was big and nasty back in the day, but they sure have turned things around.

yup a telecom customer here and just testing my access - all seems to be working fine again - kudos to telecom for responding and making the relevant changes - and equally to the support provided from the unblockers (great to see competors actually working together) and great to see the response from geekzone as well - a 36 page thread should send a message to tvnz / sky I reckon...
