The top Box-Office film of 2022 so far (Over $US736 million worldwide) will be released in the NZ iTunes store on April 18th (Monday).

THE BATMAN (2022): The film will be available to buy for $34.99. No rental date available yet. At the time of posting the film is only available in HD/Dolby Digital+ 5.1, but I'll stick my neck out and say that we can expect Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos soon after. or before release date. Runtime is 2:56, so we may need a toilet break or two 😁

No sign of this on iTunes today, and I see that the release date has disappeared from the info for this release. I don't know what is happening, but hoping for a release very soon

It only came out in theatres around 3rd March 2022. It use to be three months after theatre before release.

They are now releasing them earlier for rent at higher price, probably around June it will come down to $7.99 rent.

Enough people must be paying it to make it more profit that way.

Sky Box office is also charging those prices, think they call them express releases.

The Batman is on Sky Box Office same rent price as Apple but HD not in 4K like the Apple one.

It only came out in theatres around 3rd March 2022. It use to be three months after theatre before release.

Most of the studios now have a 45 day time frame from theatre to streaming services. Usually a bit longer until the physical media release

Alfred Hitchcock's film MARNIE (Thriller, 1964) has been upgraded to 4K HDR. The classic musical SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1953) has been upgraded to Dolby Vision.

MARNIE: Mark Rutland is a customer of one Mr. Strutt, whose business was robbed by his secretary, the mysterious Marnie Edgar.
