MrJonathanNZ: Have tried it with media hint and chrome (with telecom) and I am still getting the issue.
How easy is unotelly to use (for someone with very little know how) and which is the best pack?

Really easy to use theyhave an app to easy set up windows (though it certaintly doesnt need a comp sci degree to do it manually!). All the instructions you need for all devices are here http://help.unotelly.com/support/home

If all you need is to stream then the basic dns package is fine and will work on just about all your devices

If you're using a Windows PC, easiest way to setup is to use the UnoHelper app. Check out the instructions here: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/163724-how-to-install-and-use-unohelper

Manual setup isn't even that bad. We have videos for most operating systems here: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/folders/29878

As for package, Gold gives you added VPN access on top of everything Premium has. VPN is useful for accessing sites we don't support yet or from public hotspots and other networks.

Thus far Vodafone hasn't done themselves any favours in the way they've managed this mess - not only their inaction in fixing it, nor in not officially fronting the issue, but also where there has been unofficial comment from staff members (eg posts on the Vodafone forums) much of it has been terribly unprofessional.

TBH, based on those posts and many others here on Geekzone, I'm surprised Vodafone allow two of these staff members to post, even if it is in their personal capacity. The reality is they're still identified as employees of the company, so need to always act professionally. Getting snotty and arrogant, whether you are (or even just believe you're) in the right, is never a good look. Especially bad when one is having one's posts moderated by one's own employer.

Don't get me wrong - it's great having people volunteer their own time in such a manner, but it's probably time some reflected on how they approach this... As pointed out elsewhere on Geekzone, this doesn't apply to all - one such staff member acts with professionalism at all times, as far as I can see...

Is anyone else having to click the "Who's Watching" thing twice?

I click on the icon, it has a bit of a think, then the page comes up again, click again and you get through to the home page.

I've had to do this on all countries Netflixes since this started.

Vodafone ADSL2 Red Zone, Unotelly, Win7, Chrome.

Interests: HTPC, Web App authoring.

I'm trialling the premium DNS one at the moment and it worked straight away and extremely easy.
If only my iPad wasn't iOS 7.1.

Are you having trouble setting up UnoDNS on the iPad?

We have setps for iOS devices here: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/9573-setting-up-unodns-on-your

I
t should be very similar, if not the same for iOS 7.1.

question to you Netflixers! I'm on Bigpipe ADSL with UnoTelly using Auckland DNS servers.
On my Chromecast on the "Example Short 23.976" test, the quality will only go up to BITRATE: 4300 kbps, RES: 1920x1080, PAR:1:1.
I know this is good, but the SuperHD requires a bitrate of 5800 kbps.

Is anyone getting a sustained 5800 kbps on a Chromecast specifically using UnoTelly on the test?

Incidentally, I came across this link today (shaperProbe) which allegedly shows if traffic shaping is taking place on the line;

Estimating capacity:
Upstream: 835 Kbps.
Downstream: 13045 Kbps.

The measurement will take upto 2.5 minutes. Please wait.

Checking for traffic shapers:

Upstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 821 Kbps.

Downstream: No shaper detected.
Median received rate: 12805 Kbps.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, wasn't sure if I was allowed to mention jailbreaking.
Unodns works fine on the iPad but it seems 7.1 can't be jail broken yet and since my ipad is a NZ registered one can't get the netflix app.
Unodns is working as it should.

Y
ou can follow the steps to get a free US iTunes account, then change the iTunes country on your iPad and download the Netflix app. No need for jailbreaks to get out of region apps!

Fantastic forum with lots of great info. Been wondering what's going on but travelling and not able to get in to the problem until Unblock-US sent me this string. Having read through a bunch of posts, it sounds like a couple ISPs are responding while VF is not. No surprises there I guess. Can someone who's been following this closely sum up which ISP Netflix works with? Has anyone heard more from VF about their position on this? Been happily watching Netflix content for a couple years, so pretty annoyed my ISP sounds like they are flicking a switch to stop me. Doubt anyone would be too impressed if you got in your car to go somewhere but had a corporate telling you want streets you could drive on, shops you could go in to and items you could buy. Don't see this as being much different. Look forward to reading more. Cheers

people on VF are talking about having issues the last few days, but for me i've never been able to stream Netflix on VF. the only time Netflix would work for me was if i streamed off a PC, if i tried to watch it on a PS4 or Nexus 7 tablet, i would have massive buffering issues or it wouldn't play at all. very annoying once i found out it's all because of VF (i just signed up to a new plan so unfortunately can't look at other ISP options unless i want to pay contract termination fee.)

edit: spelling
