I need to capture more data but when I was with Telecom VDSL2+ I could stream Top Gear in SuperHD.

Over the weekend I watching eps on the same PS3 device, with VF Cable (130Mbs) and could not get beyond 480P. Both with Unblock.

But interestingly I switched over to a movie and within seconds I had SuperHD with 5.1 audio. Hence the need to do further testing.

We use a WD Media Player on the T.V in the lounge, and a Sony Smart T.V in my room, both on wireless.
Not sure how to check if its in 1080p but they both take a few secs to change to HD quality(I assume 720p).
On Snap adsl2. Can run both T.V's at the same time with no issues.

1. What device are you using: Roku 3 it has consistently been the best experience and ease of use device, our customers have tried it and the Roku has been a hit. Amazon Fire is is on its way so will let you know. Reviews on the interwebs points to it being a good experience.
2. How is it connected Ethernet or WiFi, HDMI out etc: Ethernet to get the best results with HDMI out. I have tried Wifi and everything worked fine though, but this greatly depends on your setup.
3. Do you have any setup advice, what worked what didn't work: <plug>Our ISP takes care of everything so it just works</plug> It all depends on how you access Netflix. But take care of the variables that you can control. Try Ethernet before wifi. Make sure you are using HDMI. If you are using a dynamic DNS service or VPN try out the different providers. We have seen a huge variance in response times to new zealand.

Finally had time last night to check this (as well as update then root my amazon fire tv). I get superhd after about 5 seconds of low bitrate, it went 265, 1000~ then 5800. Wired into the router with Slingshot 30/10 fiber (global mode on).

I've spent a few hours troubleshooting this issue as i am not getting 1080p in any device maximun speed is 3000kbps (720p) any advice?

Just got Fibre 100/50 from Telecom. all my test speednet.net to LA servers show speed up to 45mbps, on my ps4 test connection shows up to 63mb to PSN server.

I am using unblock-us but also tried unodns both with same results.

I am running a PS4 and my Laptop all wired (1gbps connections)

Settings on my netflix account are for Best quality and my subscription is HD enable.

As an additional test, i simultaneously ran the "Short Example 23" in 3 devices Ps4, laptop, tablet all 3 streams max out at 3000kbps.

My PS4 is connected to my 50" Panasonic ST50 and manually configured for 1080p in the display settings.

Running out of ideas!!

I mostly use our two PS4's for Netflix and have found a weird problem often where I will not be able to stream 1080p Super HD and in some cases cannot even make it to 720. This is not related to peak times or bandwidth issues.

The solution I found was to simply log out of Netflix on the PS4 app and log back in. This always 'fixes' my slow streaming issue and playback will jump to 1080p very quickly.

I still have no idea why this happens. However, this does not explain why you have issues on other devices.

Spark VDSL, 500GB plan, 45.5 Mbps down.
