Sorry WRC fans...

I dont see anything new here, have I missed something? They asked these exact questions, got a response and are asking them again? And they got the same response.

https://news.fuseworksmedia.com/5057948f-7f2c-4272-a178-bd79de1881bc

it states "Spark spokeswoman Ellie Cross said Spark Sport would be live to cover the first Formula 1 race of the season in Melbourne on March 14."

Optus told FIFA that they could broadcast the World Cup last year, and we all know how that turned out #justsaying

Whats that got to do with it? Optus's tech was the issue. Here the issue is IF Spark Sport will be online to air F1, the answer has been stated a few times that it will be. Two totally different topics

Panic Stations = stand down :-)

And now we are less than 48 hours from the start of the F1, we know that Android devices won't be supported, and iOS/web users cannot sign up. PanicStation++ :(

According to this Stuff article: "The practice rounds and qualifying session for the Grand Prix will now be available live on TVNZ OnDemand with the race itself broadcast on TVNZ's Duke channel."

So world feed only, no pre or post race / quali coverage (no sky UK preview or post-race analysis)

Apparently they are using the SKY UK feed, with some of the extras (doesn't day if that will be available on TVNZ )

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=12211572

"Further to this, we can also confirm that Spark Sport coverage of Formula 1 will use the extended Sky UK feed, which includes comprehensive commentary race data and graphics for each F1 practice session, race qualifying session, and the Formula 1 main race," a statement said. "The Spark Sport coverage will also include the Sky Grid Walk and post-race review show."

FP's are life on TVNZ OD, Quali and the race are on Duke also live

I hope and assume and will be expecting the same commentary level, i.e. quite a bit before each session, the buildup. That makes it

Off topic, while we wait till Thursday, I watched the Indycar race expecting Alonso to be in it. I dont follow Indycar as its processional, but he was on the driver list, but it seems its just the Indy 500 he will race.

Not on Duke though the EPG times are only for the actual sessions.

Not to worry. Simply sign up to Spark Sport right now and you can watch the extended coverage.

Only problem, you can't currently sign up :/

To clarify what the offer is this week this from a facebook response:

Spark Sport Hey all, Spark Sport coverage of the F1 will use the extended Sky UK feed, which includes comprehensive commentary, race data, and graphics for each F1 practice session, race qualifying session, and the Formula 1 main race. The Spark Sport coverage will also include the Sky Grid Walk and post-race review show.

  • TVNZ will show the World Feed with Sky UK commentary. Generally, the World Feed starts around 15-30 min before the session starts and finishes about 10-15 mins after the live coverage ends. TVNZ won't be showing the 90 min after race coverage or the pre-race walk around pit lane. We know F1 fans love the pre and post race content, so we are still intending to launch Spark Sport this week and are working hard to make this happen. We really appreciate everyone’s patience as we speed towards launching, and I hope this helps to clarify questions about coverage. Thanks! ^Caitlin
