I have 3 of the audio ones. Grouping is terrible, worse than my LG speakers are at times. And make chirply corrupt file sounds all the time.

Oh good. Oh well, hopefully it improves with time, I haven't set up the second one yet so no experience to report on it. Individually, I found it great.

Lucky I'm not grouping then. Yes individually, it's awesome.

I found that soptify came right on them recently, it was terrible at connecting but suddenly came good. Pandora is still rubbish to it when the phone/tablet leaves wifi and comes back to it. Dont have google play at the moment to try it because I decided I was paying too much for music services and amazon+spotify+pandora was more than enough.

That's a lot of services! Why so many?

We plan on mostly using Spotify. We only have 2 Pandora users now. I've tried Google Play once on it (when it first came out) and it worked as expected but no one has that service.

Amazon comes with prime and I have paid the extra to put my own music into it for things I want to listen to where the labels are dicks about subscription services.

Spotify comes with the $19 prepaid mobile data pack from spark.

Pandora has the best stations compared to the others.

Nice but it's only the HDMI Chromecast, not the Chromecast Audio which I was keen on.

Has anyone got the a prompt from the PBTech version warning them that it's not configured for NZ wifi?

I have three, one Chromecast 2, works fine at home on VDSL on the generic Vodafone router, and the original Chromecast on another TV. Some bought in Au, the rest bought from Noel Leaming or JB Hifi.

I bought another Chromecast 2 from PBTech obviously the box is different to JBHifi one as it doesn't have an NZ plug, to take to my partner's parents. Ran through the normal install, no problems. Played Netflix from an iPad. Great. Done. Went out for dinner.

Came back, and nothing could see the Chromecast, I've reset everything and can not get it to be visible on any device. It works on the TV, shows it's connected to their network. I'm wondering if it's an issue with their router set up. They have Thompson TG585, but they also have two extender devices plugged in to boost the wifi out to a sleepout, so they show up as

I've made sure that the Chromecast only connected to the main network, but it's driving me nuts, I only got the warning about it being a non NZ Chromecast on subsequent attempts to set it up, so I'm wondering after the initial connection it pulled some kind of update. I think I'll just take one of my version one Chromecasts and give them that one. I'll test the PBTech one at home just to make sure it's not an issue with that unit.

Mine say that, still work just fine on a CH36 network. Im guessing its to cover them if people have ch 12/13/14 problems on a US one.
