BlakJak: Maybe the fact i've only got 32" TV's and ordinary 1080p HD is a blessing. I watch quite a bit of TVNZ On Demand and don't have many complaints about the quality.

What about the stereo audio rather than 5.1 ??

Can someone change the title of this thread. paramount are not coming to NZ.

Thank you for contacting Paramount+. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced but we are here to assist you. We're sorry, but you can only stream Paramount+ content within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. This also includes the U.S. Territories of American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands, and the North Mariana Islands. We're working hard to expand into more regions!

That looks like a boilerplate 'we dont know Where new Zealand is' reply
referring to just streaming it. Not where sign up is available/operating
Australian paramount+ is well and truly up. And that's not an American island.
That's how they are seeing star trek. Likely operating somewhat independent

Ok, I'm in NZ - Auckland.

What do I do, to get paramount legally, without fiddling with IP addresses & all that mumbo jumbo?

Whenever I go to the paramount+ website I just get a splash screen - no sign up / login or whatever.

EDIT: Just because Australia may be able to get it, doesn't mean NZ will.

No, but it also doesn't directly rule it as not coming as proclaimed
Given that email doesn't even mention all the places it is correctly. And says only the US, which is clearly wrong.

Remove 'NZ' for the time being? Debatable. But can't speak for them based on an automated email when the /intl enquiry page suggests 'subject to change'

As has been earlier mentioned - many of the P+ shows etc are now on TVNZ OD. Those that are not are probably not yet available on any streaming service in NZ.

P+ in AU also has sport - that's how the A-League football is served up to the AU audience, while in NZ, Sky have the rights.

There's a large amount of providers, trying to provide a limited amount of content to a small population here in NZ. At some stage there will likely be (I would hope) an aggregation of sorts. But not like it was under Sky of old, where there's really only one provider.

Turns out the AU format accelerated rapidly due to Chan10 being prior sold to Viacom/CBS, making the path easier for them to replace online '10 All access' world with D+ the moment it was stable. Seems to explain the mixture.

I guess if all this mediaworks/sky talk happens things could change again here too. At least TVNZ have covered a couple of the new ones. (and Orville from Hulu too!). Won't have been cheap.

My sound comes out of my TV. :-)

So I would not notice the difference anyway.
