The fact that the wishlist on the appletv box and in the iOS iTunes Store app never synced still grinds my gears.

Movieman:

TITANIC (1997) has been upgraded to Dolby Atmos audio (Expect a Video upgrade soon).

I decided to have a listen to the Atmos track before the video is upgraded. I used the app which has Dolby Atmos tagged as the audio, but it ain't. It just defaulted to PCM.

Oh well; I guess it will happen eventually 🤨

Aliens (1986) has updated 4K cover artwork, in preparation for its 4K Digital release on December 12th.

Titanic was supposed to upgrade on December 5th, but all we have so far is the new artwork. I'm hoping that's not going to be the case with Aliens.

I couldn't wait to have a peek at the Titanic upgrade. I skipped through a few scenes just to see what the PQ was like. I'm no expert on the technical side of things, but it looks great to me.

People expecting it to look similar to the DVD and Blu-ray releases from years ago will be in for a surprise. This is a completely different cinematic experience and I can only say "welcome to the 2023 version of Titanic". If you already own the film on iTunes, then you will get a free upgrade. Otherwise, its available from the store for $9.99, its a steal!

So, I just updated to tvOS 17.2 and its true; The iTunes/Movies app no longer works, it just re-directs you to the Apple TV app which has been upgraded and given a facelift.

I'd be interested to hear some of your opinions when you upgrade. Let us know what you like/don't like about it and any changes that you may find. I hardly ever used the app, always use iTunes on my PC., so I don't know what is new. I know that Apple are working on an Apple TV app for the PC which will obviously replace iTunes in time.
