There have been several updates in the last month.
Some details here http://www.aftvnews.com/amazon-fire-tvs-and-fire-tv-sticks-receiving-new-minor-software-update/
I found my network settings are screwed up - Dont know when it happened, but unfortunately the latest release has not fixed it.
For me, I cannot alter or delete my ethernet connection - so I cant change my DNS4me DNS server addresses (they have just advised a chnage of a DNS servers for NZ - old servers being switched off yesterday I believe) so I expect my Fire TV might be a bit broken today.
Found several other users of Fire TV devices (Gen 1 and 2) that are having the same issue - but it cant be affecting everyone or I imagine there would be more complaints I guess. Though generally it might not be something that many users would touch. It appeared even a factory reset did not fix it for a couple of the users.
I know Mauricio doesnt have an issue with network changes (I posted a query in another thread).

Not sure how relevant it is but I have found on my FireTV Cube that I get faster wireless speeds than via Ethernet.

I too have noticed WiFi is faster than Ethernet (via USB) on the gen3 pendant one. It barely gets to HD rates, let alone HDR/4K on ethernet - WiFi happily gets there without any issues. My network settings happily changed without any issue.
My comments and remarks are not necessarily of my employer.
So I finally got Amazon Prime working, yay!
I am using DNS4ME as recommended by Mauricio. I have a silly question, how do I know I am getting USA content on Netflix?
I had read that Family Guy is on Netflix USA but I can't search for this. I am watching Black Panther which I can't see when I am on Netflix in the TV so I guys it is working!
I personally use the Netflix NZ catalogue...

The only way to know if you are on USA Netflix is under 'help' then look for the phone number to call Netflix. If it is 1800... then it's USA. If it's 0800... it's NZ.
Also you will notice USA channel logos on some tv shows like AMC, SyFy, ABC etc. In the NZ Netflix this is not relevant so they WONT appear.

Breaking bad isn't available in the NZ catalogue so you could search for that.
In case you missed:
Official YouTube App on Fire TV
Customers can find the new YouTube app tile in their ‘Your Apps and Channels’ row. The official YouTube app on Fire TV is better than ever. When they open the app for the first time they’ll be automatically prompted to download the app—once installed, they can simply click into the app to sign in to their existing YouTube account and access their full library of content including subscriptions, playlists, and recommendations. The new YouTube app will be the default YouTube experience for customers using a compatible Fire TV device, effective immediately.

That's good news. I have been having a lot of trouble with my FireTV lately, I am doing to factory reset it, but they no longer make the firetv only the stick, which doesn't have native ethernet.
