Thats one is interesting, the free one does not support smart devices, only browser/Flash player, right? But even to buy "+" version $8 per month is not expensive at all. btw where is info about RWC2019?

30 minutes is still quite a long way. If I compare to my Sky viewing experience, where I can watch with a self imposed 20-30 minute delay to avoid half time and give me some time to fast forward injury breaks, my viewing doesn't get interrupted the way I think the Spark Sport system will work. Is anyone able to confirm? If I start watching "live", I assume I can start from the start, what happens when the "live" ends and the "on demand" occurs?

If I then have to go from the live to the ondemand and then fast forward to the same place I was in live, that will suck big time.

If you are watching live, and for whatever reason you have paused a number of times so the game and feed is over, your connection to that feed remains. Even though for others, when they check, the live feed has gone. Neil mentioned this in the other SS thread

I'd bank on less than 30 minutes,. I think one F1 feed was 5 minutes or thereabouts.

It does support tablets and also Apple TV 4 which is what I'm using to stream ITV and watched the 6 nations on that.

That's good. For some reason I had read that it cut off once the live feed finished, which would have been grim.

From memory products like Kayo seamlessly move you the ondemand element automatically. Either way works for me.

I'd bank on less than 30 minutes,. I think one F1 feed was 5 minutes or thereabouts.

5 minutes would be excellent, 30 minutes not so much. I guess we will see.

Hopefully that is stream as well as broadcast , I think I recall some streams just showing program not available for certain content . Hope they wont apply that to the world cup .

SS feedback has me advised that:

We're continually working on improving the service.

Skip +10secs and -10secs is now in the web version, and that the iOS and Android apps will be shortly

How it looks as when you hover over the screen, you see the pause button, now the skips are there also. I assume the apps will be the same, so good news

A click bait article on how VPN's etc. might eat into Spark's RWC revenue

Though this is all very possible (after it's the subject of the thread), I would imagine on Spark's potential revenue is not going to be large. What might be easy to readers of this forum, is probably a bridge too far for most people.,

But I did find interesting this factoid

In 2015, the BBC reported that more than 60 million people from outside the United Kingdom were using VPNs to watch BBC iPlayer for free.

I am not sure it's so easy now as they do require you to logon and that means proof of a TV licence (from that I have been told).

And Netflix has been quite successful in blocking VPN and Proxy access to their servers

I thought that was a bit bizarre. A NZ media company who also provides broadband, letting its viewers know how to bypass a one of a competitor's services. What if Spark wrote the same on how to access Sky content for free? Or maybe provide a summary on the best torrent sites?

Seems unprofessional to me
