CYNDI LAUPER IN PARIS (1987, Music, 90 mins)    1080p/Dolby Digital 5.1 [Buy - $14.99: Rent - $7.99]

It has been said that the best live performances of all time was Queen at live Aid. And not to degrade that performance, this performance of Cyndi Lauper was amazing from start to finish. The sound quality is unbelievable for a live performance. Cyndi's vocals are superb as she hits each note with absolute perfection. The set list is a mixture of some of her greatest hits, including Time After Time, She Bop, Money Changes Everything, Change of Heart, All Through the Night and of course Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. The energy of Lauper is a non-stop fiesta that'll keep your eyes glued to the screen and wishing for the 80's back. This is a performance that is a must see before you die. You won't regret it.

THE BEAST (2023, Sci-Fi, 146 mins)    1080p/French Dolby Digital 5.1: English Subtitled [Buy - $17.99: Rent - $7.99]

The year is 2044: artificial intelligence controls all facets of a stoic society as humans routinely "erase" their feelings. Hoping to eliminate pain caused by their past-life romances, Gabrielle (Léa Seydoux) continually falls in love with different incarnations of Louis (George MacKay). Set first in Belle Époque-era Paris, Louis is a British man who woos her away from a cold husband, then in early 21st Century Los Angeles, he is a disturbed American bent on delivering violent "retribution." Will the process allow Gabrielle to fully connect with Louis in the present, or are the two doomed to repeat their previous fates? Visually audacious director Bertrand Bonello (Saint Laurent, Nocturama) fashions his most accomplished film to date: a sci-fi epic, inspired by Henry James' turn-of-the-century novella, suffused with mounting dread and a haunting sense of mystery. Punctuated by a career-defining, three-role performance by Seydoux, The Beast poignantly conveys humanity's struggle against dissociative identity and emotionless existence.

BIRDEATER (2023, Horror, 113 mins)    1080p/Dolby Digital 5.1 [Buy - $19.99: Rent - $6.99]

A bride-to-be is invited to join her own fiancé's bachelor party on a remote property in the Australian outback. But as the festivities spiral into beer-soaked chaos, uncomfortable details about their relationship are exposed, and the celebration soon becomes a feral nightmare.

MR BLAKE... At Your Service (2023, Comedy, 106 mins)    1080p/Dolby Digital 5.1 [Buy - $17.99: Rent - $7.99]

Tired of a world in which he no longer fits, deprived of those he loves who are disappearing one by one, Andrew Blake decides to leave the management of his small business to be hired as a butler in France, the country where he met his wife. By landing at the Beauvillier estate, where no one knows who he really is, he hopes to follow in the footsteps of his past. However, encounters and out-of-control situations will decide otherwise.... Between Nathalie, his widowed boss with a strange schedule, Odile, the cook and her explosive problems, Manon, a young lost cleaning lady and Philippe, the well-struck manager who lives at the back of the park, Andrew will no longer have a choice. He who was looking for a way to end it all is going to be forced to start all over again....

THE GOOD HALF (2024, Comedy, 110 mins)    1080p/Dolby Digital 5.1 [Buy - $14.99: Rent - $7.99]

Renn Wheeland returns home to Cleveland for his mother's funeral. Once there, he forges new relationships while healing old ones, before confronting his problems and trying to face his grief.

I expect this title to be upgraded to Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos in the not too distant future.

Lilith (Cate Blanchett), an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramírez), the universe's most powerful S.O.B. Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits -- Roland (Kevin Hart), a seasoned mercenary on a mission; Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Tina's musclebound protector; Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the oddball scientist who's seen it all; and Claptrap (Jack Black), a wiseass robot. Together, these unlikely heroes must battle an alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora's most explosive secrets. The fate of the universe could be in their hands -- but they'll be fighting for something more: each other. Based on one of the best-selling videogame franchises of all time, welcome to BORDERLANDS.

I will no longer be updating this thread as there appears to be very little interest in it, plus the fact that Apple have made it much harder to keep track of things since they brought out their Apple TV app. It was much easier to keep the thread updated when I was using iTunes. The Cheap Charts website has most of the information that users need, although you will have to search for prices, new releases etc.

For those of you who haven't used Cheap Charts yet, here is the link to their website. Just make sure that "Store" in the top right corner is set to Australia. Cheap Charts.

Of course, you can search the Apple TV app for info, but its not as easy to find some of the things that were easy to find in the iTunes store.

I will still be updating the 4K Ultra HD release thread.

Cheers.

Thank you movieman.

I just been reading passively, but it must be hard to gauge interest when you made about the last 18 posts with no comments between.

I brought the Beekeeper at the $9.99 and then dam a couple of weeks later it appeared on Prime Video.

With one of your recent posts I’m now hum and hurring over should I get Civil War, or will the same thing happen again.

Thank you for your posts and I’ll check Cheap Charts.

Thanks for keeping the thread going for as long as you have, @Movieman! The lack of input/comments from others may be because you've done such a great job with the content you post. It sounds like it's a complicated process (Thanks Apple) and fully understand why it's time for the thread to come to an end! Apple love being awkward, it seems. And I'm still waiting for Apple TV+ support for Android tablets!

Cheers, and thank you!
