kipkip:JarrodM: the app is being reviewed by apple at the moment, shouldn't be too much longer.
Apple always taking ages to review the app, unless you have good connections within Apple...and literally forces you to have a testing environment opened up so that they can play the apps.
JarrodM: Android app up https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neulion.android.plp&hl=en
Dororke: Android app seems to only play at a maximum of 1600Kbps

I had been wondering about that. I sent them an email a couple of days ago asking about what bit rate the apps would be capable of streaming at. I got the stock response about their release, telling me that no date had been set for the release of the apps... Didn't fill me with confidence that they had actually read my question!
Also did anyone else notice that the premier league footage on TV3 news had the PLP watermark on it but somehow had none of the motion 'jutter' problems their regular customers are having to put up with! It seems where there's a will, there's a way.
fyscdaniel: I have hide the score on the apps but you can still tell which team won the game by different colour of the team name, only norwich which drawn with everton having same colour for both team.
Crap apps

So ... this just made the Android stick I bought to watch games on useless. Great job team PLP!
NonprayingMantis: I wouldn't say useless. I watch Netflix at 1600kbps on a big screen quite often. It's not HD, but it's still watchable

Only if PLP's video quality were as good as Netflix's.
Still do not understand the logic behind capping the bitrate though. Surely they would have known that people would want to hook up their Android devices to watch on TV. Unless they're really that clueless.
