Just wondering whether anyone else subscribes to NFL Game Pass as my subscription renewed yesterday (Great) however they have:

1. Released a new iOS mobile (iPhone and iPad) app that gets stuck at the launch screen saying you're not connected to the internet; and

2. Haven't released an Apple TV app to replace the old one, which no longer works.

Has anyone managed to get the iOS app working? I'm not sure why they made the changes they did as the service last year was fantastic and everything I could want - this year FUBAR'ed.

I think the game pass is worth the money but my team plays mostly on monday midday (our time) when I'm at work. I find the text update/game play chart/discussion on nfl.com during live play to be fantastic and all video highlights are available immediately post game (and some even during the game) on nfl.com. I think of all the sport I follow the nfl has the best free non video coverage. I can always "download" the full game from somewhere should I want to watch it when I get home. If I wasnt watching an NFC West team then I would happily pay for the full pass.

I am a subscriber. It's very disappointing that the new app for Apple TV is not available yet. For the moment I am using Air Play from my Mac to my Apple TV until the app is released. The pre-season is only just starting so hopefully it's all sorted before real games start. However, as a Bucs fan I am really looking forward to this season of Hard Knocks so I hope things are sorted earlier.

Until then I am glued to MLB.tv and hope the Rays make it back to the postseason.

I've raised a ticket with NFL Digital Care and even tweeted the NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell. I'll let you know if I get an answer.

Agree with the first poster, why change something that isn't broken?! I've got the new app on my iPhone and it worked briefly this morning. Now I can't watch any content through it... hoping just a service issue and will work later. Equally disappointed with lack of Apple TV app, and the PS4 app isn't available in the NZ store. Gah! Might have to move the Xbox 360 into the lounge if it works on that or resort to casting from the iPad.

My gamepass was on renew, so I'm on it now, haven't had any problem with the iOS app once it was released. (Think I got mine on the 27th July). The brokeness of the AppleTV version is a real let down - I saw on an European NFL forum post (which I no longer have the link to) that the new app was due on the 1st August (I guess that's not right)

I do miss the simplicity of the older "gamepass" as opposed to the NFL mobile app that it now is.

Have you read received a response? I've sent a few messages to NFL Digital Care, however just keep getting stock answers. I can watch games on my iPad and airplay them to my Apple TV however there is still no Game Pass app for the Apple TV even though there is one for the European version of Game Pass.

Nope. "NFL" App insists that gamepass has been discontinued in your territory. (WTF?) The NFL Gamespass Europe insists that I don't have a valid gamepass. (I guess that's right as I don't have a "Europe" Game pass.

I've lodged a support request asking why the apple TV4 app is missing.

Emailed NFL about their lack of an actual Apple TV app received the response below, it appears that unless you have the 4th Generation Apple TV your onto a loser. Thanks for nothing NFL.

You have to download the new Game Pass Intl app - this is fine, however there is no Apple TV 4 app except in Europe.

That's right - the Apple TV 3 is no longer supported, however there is no Apple TV 4 app in the NZ App Store - it is only available in Europe and the responses I am getting from NFL Digital Care say they don't know when it will be available.

I'm currently "casting" the web version to my TV - it's just simply not as nice as the appletv 4 experience. It's "working", but given that it's preseason and new tech, maybe they can be given a little bit of leniency.

I've found that the "NFL for Windows" app is severely broken now - I keep getting a message that "My account doesn't match the region I'm in".

I really hope this nonsense is sorted before the season starts proper.

Anyone tried the AppleTV4 app again? I just visited the NFL gamepass and it no longer seems to have the footnote about the apple tv being unavailable for the international region.

I also read that for this season, NFL Gamepass is broken into 4 regions (USA, Canada, Europe and "International") - if you buy a gamepass in one region, you cannot use said gamepass in another region. Thankfully I'm not planning on travelling between those regions...

I might try again tonight on the apple tv.

Well I can't see any "NFL Game Pass" app in the Apple TV app store. I re-downloaded the "NFL" app and get an animated message:

"This app is no longer available in your territory. To access NFL Game Pass, please search the app store. We apologize for any inconvenience."

This looks like a different message that this app had previously, but still not progress. Whoever is responsible for the relaunch of the Game Pass app has screwed up big time. For an organisation that makes billions every year this should be a total embarrassment.
