Just noticed an update for the iOS ver of the app, pleased to see it finally has a export/import function for when changing phones, factory resets, etc

Yup, just got word of the update (I don't have it on my phone yet, Android), three main features are:

A link to open your vaccine pass if it's already loaded into your Apple/Google wallet
Export/Import of diary entries
The ability to add an entry from a link (which might be useful for some venues that don't have QR codes or don't want to print QR codes and it may be easier for people to open a link in an e-mail or something similar)

Am I doing it wrong, or is it supposed to just open Google Pay and not open the Vaccine Cert itself?

If you have the cert already saved I think it's quicker (only slightly) to scan the QR, ok that, then switch to the home screen and open the cert directly.

I understand that it may not be possible to have one app try and open the cert directly though.

Regardless of the above query, it's an excellent set of improvements. :-)

Interesting update, however I’m not sure that I agree with this new feature that allows people to choose which entires to share with contact tracers? Seems to be counter productive. I can see both sides, e.g they don’t share because they don’t want to tracers to have that record, vs they will share but omit that record. Just seems like an easy way out rather than encouraging them to do the right thing.

Have just checked and the Android update includes the same 'feature'. That seems crazy.

Just updated mine. Haven't tested the backup/restore, in case it fails. Will jump that hurdle if the need arises.

I just moved to a new phone yesterday before the app update, so when this landed it was a good time to test it. Not only it exported but I used the Android Share function to wirelessly copy the file from the old phone to the new one and immediately loaded it.

Has anyone else been having an issue where the link to the vaccine pass intermittently doesn't show up? This has been happening since the feature was added and there hasn't been a fix for it yet, which makes me wonder how widespread it is.

I'm running the iOS version.

I'm running the iOS version.

It doesn’t show up when Applic is completely closed and you open it and scan.

If the COVID Applic is running in background when open after QR scan option for Vaccine Pass will show.

Sorry, I've read that three times and I don't understand what you're saying. I'm not sure how it can be running in the background when I open it (in the foreground) to do the initial scan. Can you please rephrase?

It's been found the 'open cert' button is just the call for 'bring certificate to front'

If the certificate app/wallet is not open. It can't.

If phone has been restarted or running apps cleared, it can't switch to cert. But if launched at least once beforehand. It can.

Interesting. Thanks. I guess opening the pass from the lock screen is enough to kick Wallet into memory, as it worked after I did this. I haven't explicitly opened Wallet since setting it all up in the first place.
