neb: If there's no other source you can try ordering from Australia, they're mostly still open for mail order, with some restrictions. Shipping isn't drastically more than within NZ, it's just the delivery time that's a bit uncertain. Did this last week for some specialised cable that I didn't have on hand and that isn't easily kludged via something else.

I have been hitting the Kogan web site real hard.  The monitor I ordered last monday is in the courier van today which isn't bad.

Got this email from YouShop yesterday

Hi there,

To help prevent the further spread of COVID-19, many international flights have been suspended, reduced or stopped to affected regions around the world. Because of this, we are seeing a big drop in available capacity and an increase in air freight charges with the airlines we work with to deliver your YouShop parcels to New Zealand.

This means, to enable us to continue to deliver, we need to apply a temporary surcharge of $4.00NZD per 500g to all YouShop shipping rates. Delivery times will also differ from normal, by up to 7 extra business days for USA Economy, and 3 extra business days for both USA and UK standard. This will be effective from 6 April 2020.

This surcharge will stay in place until airline capacity supply is back to normal, but in the meantime may continue to change. Please check our website for the current surcharge

During COVID-19 Alert Level 4, NZ Post will continue to deliver for New Zealand, but as required by the Government, only essential items can be delivered. This applies to all New Zealanders and businesses.

We’ll be adding a check box to our checkout process asking you to confirm if your parcel is an essential item. If it is, we’ll get it on its way. If not, we’ll hold on to your item and ship it as soon as COVID-19 Level 4 Alert has been lifted. Until you see this check box, we kindly ask that you complete the shipping process for essential items only.

More information on essential items can be found here.

We appreciate your understanding as we do our best to continue delivering to New Zealand.

Take care and stay safe,
The YouShop Team at NZ Post

So you are paying $4 extra per 500 grams but it most likely won't be delivered unless it's an essential item but how many essential items come thru YouShop??

Regards,

Old3eyes
