If you have been tested for covid and have not received the results yet I don think you should turn up. Call and explain.

Sounds sensible - but is there room for that in the legislation?

Also, we're all getting slack , was no one vetting all visitors to the court?

Video calls are not unheard of - they were used during lockdown.

Sounds like the Courthouse  may have over reacted...

"A source has told the Herald that the lockdown was triggered because a woman who worked at a managed isolation facility had turned up at court and told a staff member she had a runny nose and was awaiting the result of a Covid-19 test.

"The person did not have Covid symptoms she had her routine test done that all MIF workers must have every 14 days. There is no requirement for any of them to self isolate at all after having the test done. At no time did she state that she had Covid symptoms," said woman's boss, who the Herald agreed not to name.

Right. Stand down the pitchforks then.

I do hope it jolts some people into scanning those QR codes though.

it would be very interesting to know how many of those 50 "casual contacts" had actually scanned in when they entered the building, ..

I suspect it was not a great number... but it would be really useful to actually publish it and shame a few more people into scanning QRs...

The problem is that the list of symptoms is so long and vague that I probably have many of them at once all the time so saying someone is suffering symptoms is meaningless unless they're new and unusual ones.

As for scanning and so on..

Turns out one of Vics positives went to the boxing day match.

And some teams have been pushing back against their requirements saying it's overboard..

Yeah, but it was a couple of days before he developed symptoms.. so they don't appear hyper-concerned about him per say ,  they are more worried that he may have caught it from someone else at the game....

"Victoria's Acting Premier, Jacinta Allan, said the man, aged in his 30s, sat in Zone 5 of the Great Southern Stand between 12:30pm and 3:00pm on December 27.

He developed symptoms on December 30, presented for a test on January 3, and was notified of his positive test result on January 5.

The man also attended the Boxing Day sales at Chadstone Shopping Centre between 6:00am and 2:00pm on December 26.

The new infection was the only locally acquired case detected from 37,509 test results processed yesterday.

It is being listed as a mystery case because the man has not been linked to any known source of infection

It means thousands of people who were in Zone 5 at the cricket, or who attended the same stores at the same time as the man, are being urged to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) testing commander, Jeroen Weimar, said it was too early to confirm whether the man was infected before going to the MCG, but his movements at the ground were limited.

It is believed he was not infectious while he was at the shopping centre or the MCG.

"It was only in Zone 5 [of the MCG], so somewhere in that Zone 5 there maybe, and I stress, there maybe was the person that he got the acquisition from," Mr Weimar said.

Singapore govt said Covid tracking was going to be used for covid only, now says it can be used for other purposes (criminal investigation). this is going to get some people a bit suspicious, though these people are always going to be suspicious

Is that accurate or sensationalism? Last I heard was lockdown, masks, social distancing do work. Or if flouting is ok, then you have a point. Flouting allows innovation by the virus, as is normal in life forms.

Was the infection source or sources wearing a mask?

I've read a few of these. The experts seem to be 'concerned' but still expect vaccines will be somewhat effective against it. Many publications appear to translate this expert 'concern' all the way to '!!Alarm!!'. There are no studies as yet. It is to everyone's advantage to get those in progress a.s.a.p and I'm sure that will be happening in many different ways already.
