Peter Williams you dick.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/300228158/magic-talks-peter-williams-gives-shoutout-to-antivaxxers

Magic Talk radio host Peter Williams told listeners to check out the website of an anti-vaccine and anti-mask group, saying they are “asking questions similar to mine here yesterday, except they appear to know far more about the science”.

The group, Voices for Freedom, is running a petition against “rushed, experimental Covid-19 vaccines”, falsely claims “the real science doesn't back up mask wearing” and touts a treatment for Covid-19 called ivermectin, even though the drug's own manufacturers have insisted there is “no scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against Covid-19 from pre-clinical studies”.

...

"People are entitled to ask questions, are they not? Nobody is saying this is good or bad. Nobody knows what this vaccine can or can't do because we're still in a trial period," Williams said.

This is untrue. The Pfizer vaccine, the only one approved for use in New Zealand so far, completed its trials in December.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

This is unacceptable. Ministry of Education moves against Covid-19 conspiracy email sent by teacher - NZ Herald

These people should lose their jobs. There should be no way for idiots to remain in a position of teaching or spreading this kind of misinformation.

I scoffed at the last line.

"I am strongly regretting the action and don't want any more publicity," he wrote.

Too late conspira-boy

And Williams has had that stance from the outset. He was cutting off callers last year for saying there isn't two stories. Only facts and science.

His being 'open-minded' is swayed, and REALLY isn't as neutral as a media personality should be.

Batman: If tennis is essential then PM of Australia won't wait for you to be convinced

Essential??? I assume they are all isolated in their bubble. So its not an essential service (but good on you for click baiting it)

Remember, for politics its about the money. Thats why often these measures fail. Watching the Open now, Zverev stated the crowd is great but maybe no more.

""many people are trying to curb freedom of speech"

5 Million people are trying to curb freedom of the virus

Unreal. Last time I looked, teachers educated.

Fortunately that's not how employment law works.

Unfortunately. This should be grounds to start the process.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Are you going to fire everyone who posts something dumb on social media or sends a dumb email from a personal email address?

The guy is a clown but still has rights.

No. Dumb things are OK. Endangering other people's lives is not.

Back on my computer. He did not post on social media. He started spreading misinformation. This is a big deal in my view.

Misinformation is not "opinion". You can't have your own facts.

People in positions of authority who spread idiotic, and well debunked, conspiracy theories in a deliberate attempt to subvert public health need to be removed from such positions.

If it's a one off incident in a private capacity, and doesn't happen again, then it's not an offence that would warrant instant dismissal. It would be almost impossible for a reasonable employer to do so. That of course is why there is employment law, to provide due process and allow people who acknowledge one off mistakes to continue in employment.

You can not like it but that's the law and it exists for very good reasons.

You are treating some here as ignorant of the law. We know full well "at will employment" doesn't exist in New Zealand. We know full well a due process would have to be followed.

I think you need to stop being condescending around here.

Another lockdown in Victoria/Melbourne.

Why don't they find some small town, that has lost all its industry and move the remaining residents out. Then surround it with electric fencing and move arrivals to there instead of in Melbourne.

Could do the same here in an old logging town.

so you want to take people who have done nothing wrong and may have a virus and treat them like criminals just to make you feel safe. im pretty sure that the first thing that went in the pandemic was compassion.

Common sense is not as common as you think.
