Sounds like they're about to close the bubble
Taken slightly on the OMG side from the comments. Usual 'all under consideration'

yes. i compile a covid code words translation
- come home now = we are considering pausing the bubble
- transmission that is linked = level 3
- transmission with unknown links = level 2
- you must do this = nobody does it
- has been done = not been done

I just can't believe we still have this Australasian bubble open, and we continue to play Russian Roulette. Their is little net economic benefit except for airlines and airports IMO. We risk billions if we have a lockdown, and years of debt for our younger generations to pay back. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a case in NZ this week or next.
We can manage it here, thats well proven. But I like this condition "to complete a health declaration confirming you have not been at a location of interest "
Tell me, your a Kiwi and have to come back from Victoria as that option will close shortly, and you have been to a place of interest, what will you do? Lie.
Another positive case, a person who had travelled from Sydney and was supposed to be isolating at home, visited a Coles supermarket in Craigieburn, where a man in his 30s who was there at the same time contracted COVID-19. The two did not know each other and transmission occurred despite masks being mandatory for supermarket shoppers.
Things are not looking good for the Vic travel bubble.
Today I'm going to replenish supplies and get things organised for my SO to WFH. I think we'll inevitably end up in hard lockdown when we get CT of Delta strain in NZ.

I think we can, but it is incorrect to say that it has been proven. Delta stain is game changing. Suspect it will require the affected city do start at level 4, the rest of that island at level 3, and the other island at level 2, then have each area drop one level each fortnight... Going to be economically expensive.
I imagine the people that have been comfortable traveling to Victoria given the current situation are the same people that would sign a false declaration to get back, assuming they were likely to get away with it.

Yes, we haven't done Delta, but what we have done is lockdown well. We are better prepared now due to WFH setups and past learnings. Kiwis being a conservative lot, if Delta got here, or when, we would hunker down more I expect.

Wow, look at the transmission chart.
The Removalists were in sydney on July 8, and we now have a transmission chain 3 steps long....
Plus the unrelated family.
And at least three instances where people went to locations with very high volumes of people (at one of which we have already seen transmission at).
I was a supporter of the Aussie bubble, but not when there is community transmission.
The state by state approach is clearly not fit for purpose where states without outbreaks don't have a hard border (and isolation requirements) from the states with outbreaks...
Encouraging people to rush home to beat a travel bubble pause seem reckless in these circumstances.
This dosen't give much confidence. You also have to ask where the graph (graphic) came from.
Why all the ducking and diving suggestions being proposed to explain it rather than just telling the truth, whatever that may be?

That the graphic was a complete balls up?
A highly paid expert geek probably produced it - ever tried arguing with an expert geek?
(probably also some "emperor's new clothes" aspect to it - ie surely others looked at it, saw how dumb it was, decided shutting up and going with the flow was a safe option)

That graph is several weeks old. It was non nonsensical from the start... Not sure why it has come back to the media. Government should just just declare it as erroneous, and move on.
