Fred99:

The Melbourne lockdown seems all but a done deal.  And a smart move IMO.  Should know after 5:00pm our time.

"Gladys Berejiklian warns that COVID-19 numbers in her state are likely to worsen in NSW tomorrow."

There are Air NZ flights due out of MEL to WLG at 18:15  and AKL at 18.55 - + a JST flight at 23.30  ( all  AEST) ...

so It will be interesting if NZ throws them in to MIQ or lets them in as the "last planes out"

I can't believe we didn't close Melbourne off already a few days ago. Another round of Russian Roulette

Victoria records two new COVID-19 cases linked to MCG, on top of 10 confirmed yesterday
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-15/victoria-records-covid-cases-as-new-restrictions-brought-in/100294858

Its a great place for a superspreader , perhaps the TAB can open a book on the cases that might result ?
However the removalists seem to have been to a lot of places.

Travel pause announced tomorrow for Victoria.

Pause, stop, open, pause, stop, open, pause, stop, open.

It’s getting farcical. Time has come to shut it down until further notice and focus on vaccinating.

0300 ANZ arrivals on seem to be canned as you would expect. JST not updated yet.

But all go for Welly and AKL flights due out in the next hour or so. No doubt with some last min re-scheduled additions NZ126 00:20

Finally managed to book appointments after much needed shove from GP and myself. Too bad the first jab for both me and the fiancée will be at 9PM at night. Drinking one for the staff who stay up this late.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

One of those situations where signalling an issue in advance was the right thing to do, but could have presented more risk to NZ then we could have known at the time.

All well and good to say "should have been shut sooner" but last time they left it over a weekend and I feel like they have deliberately made sure that doesn't happen this time.

Hope it's not a rule breaker, Since their own govt website said it's live and you can register but not actually said how..

https://book.vaccine.covid19.health.nz/

Holy mackerel, We've gone 4 level!

Don't expect it to actually have an opening, or let you register like it says though. Unless you have a booking ref, (or are in the current level categories) it's fairly useless.

But if anyone missed the sms/email. They probably don't have your contact details right. And despite this indicating, you can't register. So update your DHB records.

The booking website badly needs the first couple of pages edited to make it clear that a code is currently required to make a booking.

All that stuff about the code being optional, then getting to the end for it to say there are no appointments in your area (and you might need to choose a city if you are rural) isn't a good user experience.

It is reported to be working very well for those who have been issued codes though.

Yeah, Like earlier description and demonstration on a workmates PC. Code should be the FIRST thing it asks for (if you have one) before going any further.

Hate to think how much it cost to develop that so simply that it's over simplified.
