SJB:

Did I hear correctly that 3 seamen from the ship docked in Invercargill who have tested negative have been allowed ashore even though the rest of the crew are positive and are staying on the ship?

Shouldn't they be in MIQ if they have come ashore?

I freaking hope not

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/125834474/covid19-cases-aboard-the-mattina-in-bluff-grow-to-14-cases-infected-with-delta-variant

"The three crewmen who initially returned negative tests had once again tested negative. As per the ministry's guidance, plans had been finalised to transport two of them to a Christchurch-based MIQ facility."

The other one is the captain - and is returning to the ship.

Two of the infected crew had been transferred to hospital for assessment, but found to be okay and returned to the ship.

more proof that Vaccines work.

Yep.  But just remember that most anti-vaxxers had access to the same overwhelming evidence as everybody else.  So there's a very low chance of ever being able to talk them out of what they talked themselves in to.

Changing the minds of the "hesitant" less of a challenge, hopefully.

There's either a missing word ("not") in that statement, or a missing sarcasm tag maybe...

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Well I assume this is what they want or else they'd have a proper lockdown.

Travel bubble with Australia has been suspended for at least the next 8 weeks.
Focus now on getting those who must get home back asap. (ie the bubble won't be fully closed immediately - but once repatriation efforts have been closed off / completed).
