@debo are you saying that image is a reflection of your profile or just that people use that on their posts to support their views?

Not clear, since there isn't a comment accompanying it.

Looks like NSW and Queensland have started the school week off with targeted jab centres in operation too. NSW doing students while Queensland has some closed for a period still, or notices out of intention to start with the teachers and mask requirements.

HSC exams coming up.  While it's not like the old days where it was final exam only, it's highly competitive and grades are a major part of determining whether you'll get in to the Uni you want to go to (or the one your parents want you to go to...)

Upset that system with a pandemic, and there will be a lot of very unhappy parents.

Dam, I didn't notice the quotation marks. They completely change the meaning.

The person who created that Venn diagram meme did though.

Far right / nutters trying to portray their wild crazy views and conspiracy theories as "centrist" seem to have been a thing over the past 5 years.

You can't place a political tag on anti vaxxer / anti maskers. They are from across the political spectrum.

The ones that post antivaxx comments on social media, scream that Jacinda is a communist, and carry stupid "mask exemption cards", and will march in protest for their "freedumb" when we lock down?

Errr.. - nope.  They are not from "across the political spectrum" at all.

Yeah they are. There's the crystal healing dope smokers (we've got some of those in our family), there's the gene modifiers and there's the illiterate Q followers. There's a whole range of anti vaxxers with their accompanying flair.

You can normally tell, one lot talks about communists, the other lot go in a more Godwin direction.

Setting aside the quotation marks, it would be interesting to know where this (& other similar) circles would fit in your diagram.

With the quotation marks gone, it intersects with only one of the three circles in your Venn diagram.

(apologies for the rushed effort!)

Dunedin Hospital said it was at the limit with 2 cases, hopefully the crew on the container ship don't get worse and we have to treat them.

That was Southland hospital, not Dunedin.  A regional hospital has large crossover usage of beds, and so no doubt isolation requirements would have been problematic with very few negative pressure rooms.

This may help those unsure, to decide. But the rich and successful antivax i briefly interacted with, they believe everything is a lie. This diagram ain't going to change that.

May have a tip to see if we should re-schedule 2nd jabs further (though probably a grain of salt claim - also put in above that they opened up the over 60s a week early.. errr... it's 55+)

Well fantastic news...

Fewer than half of the Port of Tauranga workers have received even one vaccine dose.

Hopeless of the port business to let that situation happen, and of the union for resisting mandatory vaccination.  They're supposed to look after their workers, their families, and the community.

What a massive fail.

I am pretty sure that not even this will make them believe that Covid-19 is something to be concerned about:

A leader of the Texas Republican Party hopped on Facebook in May to post about a “mask burning” party 900 miles away in Cincinnati.

“I wished I lived in the area!” wrote H Scott Apley.

The month before, Apley responded to what Baltimore’s former health commissioner was heralding as “great news” — clinical trials showed the Pfizer vaccine was effective at fighting the coronavirus, including one of the recent variants, for at least six months.

“You are an absolute enemy of a free people,” he wrote in a Twitter reply.

And on Friday, the 45-year-old Dickinson City Council member republished a Facebook post implying that vaccines don’t work.

Two days later, Apley was admitted to a Galveston hospital with “pneumonia-like symptoms” and tested positive for coronavirus, according to an online fundraising campaign. He was sedated and put on a ventilator.

On Wednesday, he died, members of his county’s party announced on social media.

Source: Washington Post

Happy I got my first shot of the vaccine last Saturday.

Some of the anti-waxers seem to get smart too late:

Interesting that they are splitting the cohorts into smaller groups...  its was originally 10yr groups,  ( except for 60+)
