People were sanitizing packets during the last lockdown and cleaning them off.

As in food shopping?  We just dump ours into an unused room and leave them for 4-5 days.  Hopefully that is enough???

I don't understand why people are not making use of the Healthpoint website (which I note Ashley Bloomfield spruiks every single day) which lists testing locations - of which there are plenty.

There are - or were when I checked a few days ago - plenty on the Healthpoint site, but plenty less when you check the locations they link to for testing. That's why I ended up at a pop-up site, all the more official locations like medical centres were: No indication that they do testing, testing starts next week some time, testing only for enrolled clients, ... Hopefully that was just startup glitches and it's better now.

A lot of people genuinely don’t know it exists. It’s been around for a while (pre covid) to help find various medical and health services.

There are filters for the service you’re looking for (covid 19 testing) and access filters (eg enrolled patients only or anyone can access), and you can apply geographic location filters too.

This link includes Covid 19 testing sits NZ wide that anyone can access without being a registered patient: https://www.healthpoint.co.nz/covid-19/?options=anyone

I think its easy to take for granted given a lot of us who use forums are on the net a lot and get news and sites fast. The general public likely havnt searched for it and any promotion of the site usually will be not noted. So I can see why many don't know.

Those are some good stats, thank you for that.

110%. We are spoiled here with some that know their stuff and give great detail. Others that are in jobs that are front-line. Drs, pilots, others. Joe and Joanne average are more exposed to the swathe of data on Seven Sharp and Facebook.

Hillary Barry was MC or similar at 'an awards ceremony' at spark arena during the week last week.

And is now at home pending test/14 days.

Tried to get an answer from Coundown re why no mask for deliveries.

Let's just say "That's 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back!" A very frustrating no result experience.

More interested in getting my details, to which I said they didn't need to know! Didn't even ask where it was observed.

I said very disappointing, goodbye, and hung up.

But home deliveries are contactless. While it might be nice if they did wear a mask, there is certainly no legal requirement to do so.

The Stuff liveblog is getting increasingly indignant about the lack of information about Wellington LOIs.

Can't blame them. It's simply unbelievable that it's taken 27 hours since they knew about these cases to get any locations out.

The PM says "but people are all being told before it's public" which is quickly frankly a load of PR spin and simply not true. Telling a cafe owner is very different to being able to contact the people that would have been in all the other stores and restaurant on Tuesday. At least the supermarket is Wednesday when people were required to wear masks.

Being told that the country is in lockdown and everybody should be at home anyway ignores the fact there were an estimated 550,000 people during L4 last year who leave home every day and go to work as usual. With no masking requirements for most of these people and the fact our contact tracing is clearly overstretched already getting locations out should be the main priority right now so people can take their own measures and self isolate.

Rather than mocking Australia for the last few months, our Government should have actually been looking at how we should respond when we did have an inevitable breakout.

God help us all. We're going to need it.

I understand that, but the guidelines say to wear a mask when outside on the Street.

Should they not be setting an example when they also have to wear them instore and it is their own branded truck doing the delivery?
