Washington State Hospital Association CEO Cassie Sauer said during a news conference on Thursday that unvaccinated people were filling hospitals throughout the state and officials have been forced to make hard decisions about how to keep beds free.

People who say no to the vaccine are not saying no to medical care once they get sick, which is "deeply frustrating" to hospital staff, Sauer said.

Anonymous man slams contact tracers for not breaching privacy

Derp reporter George Block at Stuff devotes almost half of one sentence to explain in detail why anonymous man is screaming at the clouds.

P*ss-poor reporting - against any public interest.

Batman:

when are we getting this stuff https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/aug/20/uk-approves-rollout-covid-antibody-treatment-ronapreve-clinical-trials

“The challenge going forward will be in determining which patients should be prioritised for this treatment. COVID is not a rare disease and many people get better of their own accord after a few days of a nasty flu-like illness. It would be hard to justify giving what are likely to be limited supplies of a relatively expensive treatment to huge numbers of people who are likely to get better on their own.

The FDA has given an EUA, TGA in Australia has provisionally approved a similar but different treatment - sotrovimab - so Medsafe might be looking at that.

The trials for the latter carried out on at-risk patients <5 days from onset of symptoms.

freitasm: The guy is being a dick.

Probably - or just a bit thick.

However - maybe there's a problem with contact tracers not adequately explaining to people like him why they can't breach patient privacy - maybe the "reporter" could have written a short article explaining why that situation exists.

not sure if this article is useful or not useful. basically it says we (the world) don't know how to open up https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/covid-19-coronavirus-what-happened-after-the-uk-dropped-all-restrictions/BP56KK2VNDVZNGGG73FFMTUS6U/

anyway, every time i see a herald "live" headline i get a bit confused whether it's old news or new news as information is added.

is there a site that tracks all the cases, updates when more information becomes available along and same with locations of interest?

perhaps a project for a GZ?

It looks like the LOI for Wellington are only from the person(s) who flew back Sunday and lives in J'ville.

Absolutely nothing from the person(s) who drove back and are apparently in Miramar. Surely it can't be that difficult!

Stuff is a 21st century Tabloid. It's 99% fluff and BS. The only glimmer of light there is their investigative team.

That'd be petrol stations, cafes, and other places as mentioned by Bloomfield at the press conference yesterday?

Give them time. We still haven't even listed all the locations of interest for the person who flew back yet!
