TeaLeaf: More logic starting to flow from the Govt. Good question though re certain places. I still think mandatory mask wearing in public, (not just food, med and transport ie footpaths) during lockdowns should be made law too.

I agree.

Where did you get food , med and transport? The Alert Level 2 page says

We encourage you to wear a face covering when you cannot maintain physical distance from others — for example, in crowded indoor places.

You legally must wear a face covering when:

  • on public transport
  • on flights.

So, its up to Joe and Joanne Public to decide what is a crowded indoor place?

Lol.

There was some screaming, and a topless person - looked like a child although we only saw the back - ran past Shaun Hendy then the camera crashed to the ground as someone else ran past seemingly screaming out to the first one.

Covid website still isn't updated despite the PM saying to look at it for details an hour ago.

Health order 10 has replaced 9

I do see this being challenged by the astute. You will note despite the word 'mandatory' used often, there appears to still be no backing for it. (face covering use)

And will soon be replaces by 11,   Order 10 has lots to say about moving between regions 4 and 3, which will become void  at the end of Tomorrow.

11 will likely have all the updated 'Delta 2' requirements that currently have not been legislated for

TeaLeaf: Ive read testing in under way on cannabis showing promise against covid.

so is bleach and hot water, and a long list of substances, that didn't go anywhere useful.

would be funny though if all the antivaxxers got stoned

Wonder if this means family can return from Chch where they have been stuck before L4 hit Auckland? They haven't been able to make it back yet so have hunkered down through L4 down there.

Two shoeless adults at full speed chase shirtless kid down footpath during level 4 lockdown, bowling cameraman - who manages to wiggle fingers as proof of life before the scene cuts.

How very odd.

Errr. You would think so too right?

But no, 9, which was enacted (and revoked on the 31st) to make it for level 4 in supermarket environment, didn't even cover the later level 3 or below requirements we moved to
https://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/2021/0210/latest/LMS536652.html

I waited, and waited and waited for it to cover 3 to match their comments at stands up. And the covid pages have been reworded a few times.

As much as the guidelines have stated. The specifics for requirement haven't been backed by legislation. And as such I'm surprised other's hadn't noticed.

Not fast at backing it up until about a week after the fact it seems.

Arrggghh. Getting flashbacks of shirtless kid from the Unruly Tourists group https://i.stuff.co.nz/national/110034876/the-hunt-for-the-unruly-people-tracking-the-tourists-new-zealand-cant-get-enough-of

Bleach and hot water will probably kill you.

Anyway, the cannabinoids that actually do show some anti-viral properties are CBD - not THC. Not that it's been shown to work,  Wowsers would be pleased, it'd be truly tragic if someone came up with relatively harmless but effective medicine that people enjoyed taking.
Moral outrage better vented at proponents of using medicine that's truly harmful.  As a joke I was going to try and convince people that haemorrhoid cream was at least as effective as ivermectin (probably technically the truth), but unfortunately some people may believe it - and laughing at dumb people poisoning themselves isn't actually funny.

Yeah well, Ive been out so checked there, and when I posted it stated the coming into effect date of 11-59pm tomorrow, so silly me, I assumed everything on there was up to date. How hard is this? They knew before 4pm what the deal was, how hard is it to update the affected webpages on the Level 2 main landing page, and upload them soon after the PM announced it, sometime after 4pm? When people hear the news where do they go? Level 2 page.
