I'm thinking presta valve tubes are the incarnation of evil! Can't use the petrol station air pumps, have to use a special pump, benefits for general cycling are pretty much 0.
You can get a small screw-in adapter which allows you to use a standard petrol station pump (Schrader). Left one in this product image:

most of the time a petrol station pump would be useless for those type of tube/tires anyways, as they only go up to 50-60psi and those tube/tires need 80+ psi. running them low increases the risk of getting the tube pinched and getting a puncture.
