Is it really a half price sale when they just sell things at close double reasonable price the rest of the time? :P
I guess the manufacturer sets the RRP, then the Briscoe type stores play with the numbers. Marketing, nuff said
Briscoes don't worry too much about RRP. When I was last looking for a rice cooker Briscoes had it at $50 when the RRP was $40. I ended up buying it from Moore Wilson for closer to $25.
