GV27: ….I don't see why people who leave jobs who also have dependents should be treated differently when it comes to a stand-down/cooling-off period.
They should at the very least be treated the same, even if it is admittedly poorly. But in no way should vaccine-hesitant people get priority treatment.
I fully understand and appreciate where you are coming from (my personal opinion is very much aligned to yours). I suspect that it is a precautionary measure to avoid any legal challenges etc.
Additionally I suspect that employability of these vaccine resistant folks will be an issue for other in-person roles so suspect that further rules on job seeking may be relaxed.
The last thing that ministries or government wants is images of children going hungry or stays/injections being issued on vaccine mandate restrictions. I’m not a lawyer so take the validity of the previous statement with a grain of salt.
