Another bunch of dropkicks - if they dare to go near me when I get my boys vaccinated, they will definitely get the short sharp shove (not physical, but not-so-politely told where to go).

We need the Govt to draft new powers banning antivaxx signage and protests within 2km of all vaccine clinics.

This type of intimidation of Women and children is beyond unacceptable.

Some of them taking it a bit further.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/covid-19-delta-outbreak-parents-taking-medsafe-govt-to-court-to-stop-vaccine-rollout-for-5-11s/3OCV6MRQHBUNR3UYUAQV5NZ3CE/

Wonder how many have plenty of time to 'research' all day. You know, the research that isn't done in a lab but google.

I note the group of parents does not include a qualified doctor or medical professional.

I wonder how the civil engineer would feel driving over a bridge designed by ECE teachers, or the electrician about charging an electric vehicle at a charging station installed by accountants?

The thing is, the 5-11 vaccine is not compulsory. You don't want your kids to get it? Totally fine, no one is making you. But these clowns are going to achieve nothing, apart from wasting the court's time on this nonsense.

No doubt their "research" involves watching videos like this interview a while ago and "deciding" it must be "fact": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB_5pL74EoA

(I for one doubt the authenticity of this video, bearing in mind it's from the same woman who blamed the PM for an earthquake last year).

The whole compulsory thing probably get it checked out for that exact reason

But the claim is it is effectively mandated because everyone's going to turn round and require it

Like adults now who moan because they are missing out. Always everyone else's fault or a breach of their rights not a consequence

They don't need to do any research. Karen on Facebook has already done it.

I see Djokovich might be excluded from the French Open as well. Apparently no vax and you can't enter the stadium and the French minister has already stated no exceptions.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

I was a bit yeh-nah when those movies set in dark ages would have superstitious crazy villagers.
A bit over the top and extreme for sake of action.

However seeing how 'evangelical' these mutters who pester people violently to terrorize children.
Its not the steps of parliament or town hall.

Yes in many places police would jump on this and clear them out.
Who knew you needed a larger police force in a pandemic.

I was involved in a minority sporting group and getting park space to use was always a trial.
Once you got a few hours use you had to be respectful of others, and neighbors to keep it.
Who knew you could just block other users and set up equipment including speakers, just how you liked

TBH I see this becoming more and more common as the vaccinated masses get less and less patient with the unvaccinated clogging health systems and extending the pandemic. Countries with functioning democratic governments (e.g. France, Austria, etc.) and non-democratic governments will lead the way on this, while countries with broken democratic governments (e.g. the USA) will dawdle.

Even New Zealand which is a much more open and accepting society with our current government is ratcheting up restrictions on those that willingly impart risk on the rest of us.

For those who legitimately cannot be vaccinated that's a problem and I hope they're not caught up in the web unfairly, but for the rest, too bad, how sad, thanks for all the virus.

You can see compulsion coming I absolutely agree (if the status quo continues). The only out will be if omicron or the next variant ends the pandemic.

Global herd immunity (I am including from infection acquired sources is climbing) so perhaps there will be an out for these people, perhaps if they hang on long enough, we will avoid compulsion.

But this is only true if Covid follows this endemic script.

Covid might not do that at all, it might remain at the current level, or worsen. It is tenacious, and most of all, its a highly mutating virus.

If we recall recently, experts were telling us that Delta was the last of it, nothing was going to be more impressive than Delta.

The feeling I get, is that rather than a herd population ending this, we will have some respite, and then see a immune escape version created by selection pressure...and on it will go....until compulsion comes in.

They wanted to immediately halt the rollout but were declined. HA HA! :D

In all seriousness...8 parents out of the thousands (myself included) who have either taken their children in for a vaccine, or have them booked in - what makes them the authority to decide on what vaccines I get for my children? It's none of their business. They can do what they want with theirs, let me do what I want to with mine.
