What's the story with this genius? Personally I think he's full of it.

A bunch of people have developed a martyr complex around the pandemic. They think they're hot stuff, while those of us with our brains working view them with something ranging from incredulity to disgust.

And as you can see from the comments, a lot of people are saying he is threatening the wrong person here. I have had dealings with the Harawira.

They play for keeps.

That aside, it is illegal to threaten violence period.

Considering his acting out I guess he does not care. We have a very significant national security issue here with these people, individuals who are from very wide ranging strata of society.

You can see why the security agencies have red flagged the Antivaxxers in New Zealand. They are political extremists. this is not about the vaccine.

This is about cult manipulation of the masses and indoctrination with extremism. Primarily a fascist far right agenda, but not exclusively, there are strong elements of anarchy and sedition.

We have let an Army of treasonous extremists proliferate in our midst. And it is being driven by far right white supremacists groups in the United States who are using New Zealand as a testing ground to wage their global war on society.

The blame lies squarely at the foot of big tech social media propaganda platforms.

Adern should get out of that job before it kills her.

NSW not a great place currently. 32 dead today out of a 8.2m population.

If we scaled their ICU numbers to our population, it comes out to 138. No way we could handle that (on top of normal load) with our cira 180 staffed ICU beds.

A small day for growth in in NSW numbers in hospital, but the number does continue to grow.

Bottom line is we must do a heap better than NSW in our omicron response (which shouldn't be too hard give the extra knowledge and time we have).

It seems likely there is both a Delta and an Omicron wave in NSW and probably VIC

If you look at QLD (pop 5m) or SA (1.7m) which had low (no) levels of Delta so might be a better comparison

Three people linked to the Stanford plaza are symptomatic (but have returned negitive test results).

An Airport worker has also tested positive (Omicron suspected, but not yet confirmed)

56 new border cases of covid-19 identified in one day.

There is an error in the press release. They are continuing to refer to "percentage of eligible people" vaccinated, but have not changed the eligible population to reflect that 5 - 11 year olds are now eligible.

On this page, they are sticking with reporting vaccinations for those 12+ years old as they historically did, with 5 -11 year old's reported in a different section

Good to see first doses for those 12+ staying solidly above 1000 a day each weekday. And 13,028 first doses going to 5 - 11 year old's yesterday. And of course nearly 40k boosters given.

Having high vaccination rates (incl boosters where primary doses arn't fresh) is the single biggest thing we can do to get ready for omicron in NZ.

Only Because they haven't formally changed it yet,
Hipkins twice said the Room release tomorrow was for rooms in March and April,

The only reason to delay releasing rooms in March and April is if the requirement of who needs a room has changed, i.e after the end of Feb

If self isolation was to begin at the end of Feb, rooms for March and April would not be in high demand,

If there were changes to the End of Feb date, or the departure country , then Rooms in March and April would be in demand...

Hence my conclusion that things around the Feb date for self isolation are going to change - I.e its a cabinet recommendation now, and will be an actual decision tomorrow.

Also if the Tooms are March and April, then the whole "Its because of Omicron" doesn't hold water as the rooms arnt for another 6 weeks,
(Although there might have been a possible release of Feb rooms next week we were not aware of yet)
