Nothing says "I'm oppressed" quite like having the disposable time and resources to drive across the country.

Oh no! A group inspired by mistrust and misinformation falls victim to mistrust and misinformation
arcon:
I know two antivaxxers personally. Just like all online AVers I've seen, very arrogant and devoid of humility. Their anti-ism ideologies are at the surface for sure but the root cause IMO is they are just not smart people. They make dumb decisions & are easily duped.
I know one who is intelligent in the sense that she is very highly qualified academically but she has a narcissistic personality disorder. I suspect that at some point in the past she has come up with an anti-tax theory, and she probably now realises that she was misinformed but she will do anything to avoid to be seen to have been 'wrong'.
Any update on this "great convoy", or are they all still going off in different directions, not really achieving anything?
Did they solve the problem of how to get across Cook Strait yet? This "convoy" is like the gift that keeps on giving.
Just had a stupid post this up on facederp in a tradie group.
He is a bit miffed that course providers that supply a course he needs to keep his license are requiring a vaccine pass, he thinks serving them with a printout of one of these notices will change something.
Its an interesting theory.....
Now that Kiwis can travel overseas and return without MIQ if they don't have Covid, are people thinking of travelling again? I am toying with the idea of going to the US to visit rels but on top of what are likely to be quite high air fares (a quick check on AirNZ shows about $1900) the US Govt wants a negative Covid test no older than 24 hours before travel. And to get one of those is going to cost about $280. I think that is because they need to return a result in 24 hours but if you say were not feeling well and went in for a free test, that could test up to 3-4 days and you just isolate while waiting.
Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD. https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
Nope.
Does travel/medical insurance cover catching coronavirus while you're overseas? Say if later in the year I go to the US (for example) and catch it, are my medical bills etc covered, or am I totally out of luck?

All rights no responsibilities. A license to do what I want.
I expect that the course may involve practical class work/examination, and trade teachers are not usually that young.
So reducing potential for and severity of infection, reduces chance all the classes work gets interrupted.
Plus the susceptibility of teacher/examiner for practical work.
Of course they can just retrain online in IT, or social media and work from their bedroom.
You do have a choice, in the past hippies joined communes to get the life they wanted.
Some religions recommend the same thing, set up your own isolated community.
They represent about less than 1% I think. Storm in a thimble.
