I scan. I have visited Wellington hospital the last couple of days and they ask you to scan and show the scan result before being allowed through the reception.

Ditto. Will continue to scan provided (or where) QR codes are available (if only for my own record). Pretty minimal effort required.

Actually that's a good point - I told a boldfaced lie in my last post - I have been visiting Rotorua hospital recently and scanning in there, partly because it's out of my new normal routine, partly because it's a high risk setting IMO, and partly because they request some form of contact tracing/registration before allowing you through reception.
I still scan almost religiously, it's just a part of life now.
I suspect I may have caught coronavirus myself - had a pounding headache every day for the last few days and (what feels like) heart palpitations. I'll do a test tonight, hopefully it's negative.
I still scan, and have Bluetooth tracing on, it was an alert through that which prompted me to get tested

Wonder how good 'their' prediction of the strains most likely to hit us will be, given the dearth of flu almost everywhere over the last year or so?
Edit: maybe a bit off topic - except to the extent that a double whammy of covid and flu in winter has been a concern since the start of the current pandemic.

AU now recommending a fourth dose for people 65 and over, and other vulnerable individuals. Rollout starting in a couple of weeks.

I feel thats a good idea. Its nt going to die out as SARS1 did.I read something today that stated that vaccines are probably better than getting infected, immunity wise. As they can be tailored to a variant or variants, and could even include flu and RSV. Whereas the infection helps you with chiefly the variant you caught.
Lets do a year of boosters, evaluate then
