A lot of Christmas celebrations will be outdoors so maybe not too much of a problem.

Well, It's only just into Summer now, outdoors is good, yet the cases are rising fast. Close gatherings will ramp up. Aside from friends and family, take a camping ground. Lots of randoms, meet new people, the camp shop, the group eating areas. Yes outdoors will help, but your adding a new variable with many people meeting other many people over the holidays

So you're not eligible for the current 2nd booster?...

Its unlikely that the bi-variant boosters will have an expanded age/ethnicity eligibility

No, I'm not eligible for the current 2nd booster but I really want one, as when I got covid in March it took me five weeks to recover.

If you have any trips to Australia coming up, get the Moderna bivalent booster there. It's available for 18 year olds and above. Available is different to being recommended but it is available.  https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-mark-butler-mp/media/new-covid-19-vaccines-for-eligible-australians#:~:text=The%20Moderna%20Spikevax%20Bivalent%20Original,older%20since%2014%20October%202022.

OK...Bye bye.

New Zealand health system should NOT be blackmailed by these cretins.

If they believe they will get the treatment they want, then they can sod off and pay for it themselves.

This is no different to people heading overseas for some miracle cancer treatment.

We need to stop tolerating these fools.

NZ blood is apparently not safe but they want surgery in India?  The epicenter of antibiotic resistance.

Stupidity knows no bounds.

Ironic

"NZ blood is apparently not safe" Breed/Bleed

Same thing as you see these days, loudmouths, rather than contributors to opinions and knowledge and discussion.

just let it sink in that every time these people go to court you are paying for their costs. you are also working your butt off to pay for their housing, schooling, entertainment and holidays, while they spend their 24 hrs reading crap.

Do you have any evidence of what you’re saying or is it a reckon?

Anyone travelling to the USA can get either the Moderna or Pfizer bivalent booster for free. In Dallas at the moment and wife and I had ours yesterday - we had first two shots last year in NZ, Covid in April (no real symptoms but probably because we followed the British advice of 12 weeks between shots, not Labour’s panicked 3-6 weeks advice) and held off getting a booster as we knew we could get the omicron bivalent booster on our trip now.

Big question here is what is Labour doing at the moment? And the answer as usual is nothing - there is plenty of the bivalent around to be purchased by any country wanting it and of course NZ is again at the “front of the queue” 🤣.  No, instead Labour are spending millions on things NZ’ers don’t need or want (TVNZ merger, 3 Waters etc) and still boosting and vaccinating with a vaccine designed for delta - muppets (although that’s probably an insult to the muppets).

I live alongside these community. Some had jobs and quit when the mandates took place and are still happily unemployed. Some have been unemployed since forever. Some are employed. I know one who was a high flyer seven figure income not sure where they are now but they had to leave their job.
